Specna Arms RETRO Sten MK.II X-ASR AEG Submachine Gun - Grey

Electric replica of the Sten MK II submachine gun from the RETRO line, developed in cooperation with the manufacturers S&T/AGM. The series focuses on replicating historical firearm designs, offering models inspired by solutions from past decades.

The Sten model was a design created as a simple and quick-to-produce solution, which made it possible to supplement the equipment of the British Army during World War II. Chambered for 9x19 mm Parabellum, it was characterized by an effective range of approximately 150 meters. The MK II version was distinguished by a perforated shroud covering part of the barrel.

The replica is made largely of steel, which ensures high resistance to mechanical damage and withstands intensive use. The metal body, the distinctive receiver tube, and the structural details faithfully reproduce the original’s design, preserving its rugged, functional character.

The components subjected to the greatest stress are made of metal, which reduces wear and increases the durability of the entire structure during long-term use. At the same time, the use of plastic components in selected areas has made it possible to reduce the replica’s weight without compromising its strength.

This combination of materials ensures adequate structural rigidity, stability during firing, and comfort of use, while maintaining the proper proportions and character of the historical replica.

The replica retains the Sten’s characteristic, simplified design, based on a tubular body, which serves as the main load-bearing element of the entire structure. This design reduces the number of parts and ensures the rigidity of the assembly. The front section features a barrel shroud with holes.

The magazine is mounted on the side, which is typical for this design and contributes to the replica’s distinctive profile. The stock is constructed as a simple, steel tubular structure ending in a butt plate, which reduces weight and corresponds to the design of the original.

The replica is powered by an electric motor, operates in full-auto mode, and is equipped with a v7 gearbox. This system ensures stable operation of the mechanism and smooth performance.

Inside, it features:

• an adjustable Hop-Up system—allowing you to adjust the BBs’ flight path based on their weight and environmental conditions, which results in better hit consistency
• a 225 mm inner barrel—which stabilizes the flight path 

The replica achieves a muzzle velocity of approximately 370 FPS, which allows for effective firing at medium ranges while maintaining good accuracy. The combination of an electric drive, adjustable Hop-Up, and an inner barrel of the appropriate length results in stable performance and consistent shot accuracy.

The model is equipped with an X-ASR MOSFET circuit, which is responsible for protecting and optimizing the operation of the replica’s electrical system. This module protects components from overloads, which reduces wear and tear on parts and extends the lifespan of the entire system. The system also improves trigger response, reducing the time between pulling the trigger and firing a shot. This results in more direct and consistent weapon performance.

Additionally, the MOSFET enables more efficient use of battery power, which reduces power loss and stabilizes the operation of the drive system. Built-in indicator LEDs allow for the diagnosis of basic malfunctions, alerting the user to any potential issues with the electronics.

The replica is powered by a rechargeable battery connected via a DEANS/T-connect plug. The set includes a Mid-Cap magazine with a capacity of 120 BBs.

Note! Due to its design, the model offers limited space for the battery - a cell measuring 125.2 x 20.4 x 10.4 mm fits inside the stock, where the available space is approximately 265 mm in length and 21.4 mm in diameter.
