Bought more for decorative purposes, but after touching up on a strop it makes a great little scalpel for emergency situations. I don't know if it's just my model, but the slipjoint holds really tight, tighter than in Vicks.

A fully operational miniature knife, the smallest model in the Spyderco Slip-Joint Folders collection. Ideal for use both at home and outdoors. Its compact dimensions make it easy to conceal in any pocket. Can be conveniently attached to a keyring, serving as a stylish keychain. An excellent choice for a gift!
The modified clip point blade is crafted from 3Cr13 stainless steel, valued for its ease of sharpening, reliable edge retention, and strong resistance to corrosion.
Equipped with a slip joint lock—a mechanism frequently found in traditional pocket knives—which disengages with a firm press on the spine of the blade.
The structure is formed around an integral stainless steel handle, housing the blade’s pivot mechanism. The handle boasts an ergonomic design, offering a secure grip even without a textured surface. The laser-etched Spyderco logo appears on the left side of the handle, while the blade features a signature thumb hole (a patented Spyderco hallmark), enabling ambidextrous one-handed opening.
A lanyard hole at the rear of the knife accommodates a securing cord to reduce the risk of loss. Supplied in a gift box bearing the Spyderco logo.

Spyderco is an American company based in Golden, Colorado, founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. The brand's origins are linked to the invention of the “Portable Hand,” which gave rise to the company's name, and in 1978, the innovative Tri-Angle Sharpmaker® was introduced. The breakthrough came in 1981 with the launch of the C01 Worker knife - the world's first model with a carrying clip, the distinctive Spyderhole opening, and the serrated SpyderEdge blade. Spyderco was also a pioneer in the use of new materials, being the first to introduce CPM S60V powder steel and H-1 stainless steel, designed for use in marine environments. For years, the brand has been collaborating with renowned knifemakers, including Al Mar, Ernest Emerson, and Marcin Slysz, creating unique models that have gained iconic status. The stylized spider logo symbolizes both the company's origins and Spyderco's values: precision, innovation, and high performance.
