Very effective and easy to use. Sharpening is quick, precise, and doesn't require fiddling with the angle. The knives regain great sharpness even after heavy use.
Spyderco Triangle Sharpening System – a leading, highly intuitive professional sharpening solution favored by users worldwide. Offers three selectable sharpening angles and two types of sharpening rods for enhanced versatility.
The Spyderco Triangle set contains:
- 4 sharpening rods in two different grits
- a stable base equipped with:
- built-in guides for setting rod angles at 20, 15, or 12 degrees
- brass safety guards to shield your hand from accidental injuries
- a comprehensive instructional DVD
Method of use:
To sharpen your knife, swipe the blade edge along the sharpening rod from top to bottom—maintaining a perpendicular angle to the surface—as if slicing. Using two rods set at the selected angle allows for fast and effective sharpening of both sides of the blade in alternating strokes.
Concave and serrated blades can be honed on the edges of the rods, and by laying both rods horizontally, blades can be sharpened in the style of a traditional whetstone.
The system offers an exceptionally user-friendly and intuitive sharpening process, making it easy even for novices to achieve a razor-sharp edge.
It is highly recommended to watch the instructional DVD before first use!

Spyderco is an American company based in Golden, Colorado, founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. The brand's origins are linked to the invention of the “Portable Hand,” which gave rise to the company's name, and in 1978, the innovative Tri-Angle Sharpmaker® was introduced. The breakthrough came in 1981 with the launch of the C01 Worker knife - the world's first model with a carrying clip, the distinctive Spyderhole opening, and the serrated SpyderEdge blade. Spyderco was also a pioneer in the use of new materials, being the first to introduce CPM S60V powder steel and H-1 stainless steel, designed for use in marine environments. For years, the brand has been collaborating with renowned knifemakers, including Al Mar, Ernest Emerson, and Marcin Slysz, creating unique models that have gained iconic status. The stylized spider logo symbolizes both the company's origins and Spyderco's values: precision, innovation, and high performance.

Good universal sharpener. It allows you to sharpen many types of knives quickly and easily. Folded up, it's quite compact, you can throw it in a backpack and take it outside. I recommend it.
-
Very good sharpener, it sharpens many knives, easy to use, and takes up little space in a backpack when folded, making it perfect to take on a long trip. Expensive, but worth the price.
-
Great sharpener. Thanks to it, you can sharpen everything you have, from knives to serrated knives, scissors, nail clippers, or fishing hooks. The kit includes a video and a booklet showing how to sharpen every tool. I recommend it.
-
Expensive but worth it. You can sharpen any premium steel.
-
I recommend it for every more advanced knife user.
-
Very good sharpener. I've tested it on every possible knife I own. From a small EDC (154CM) to bushcraft knives (1095 CRO-VAN) to a large KA-BAR (1095 CRO-VAN). I haven't tested it on super steels because I don't have any. I recommend it for people who can't sharpen well on a stone or can't afford a set of good stones like me. The abundance of instructions is helpful. The set itself contains a paper manual and a DVD version, but in addition, there are lots of videos on YouTube.
-
It's worth it, sharpening with the rods is much more predictable than with plates.
-
Quality in itself. Expensive but I recommend it.
-
Great set. A bit expensive, so it's worth waiting for a sale.
-
I quickly and easily sharpened a few dull knives. I recommend it.

Good sharpener

A classic of the genre. I sharpen all the knives at home and at my parents' with this tool. It's very easy to sharpen thanks to the correct angles. Combined with diamond rods, the sharpener allows you to bring almost any knife to razor sharpness very quickly. Only the price gets more expensive every year.
-
I've been using this set for another year now and it's more than enough to sharpen really anything you have at hand. Over time, I recommend getting diamond rods.

I've been using the same set of stones for 4 years. I sharpen my kitchen knives, my parents', and my in-laws' knives on it. I sharpen pocket knives, EDC knives, and scissors. It's an excellent sharpener but requires some skill to maintain the sharpening angle. I also had the DMT diamond system with a guide, but I sold it after 3 uses—I'd rather use the Spyderco triangulation. I bought mine 4 years ago for 240 PLN, and now it costs 400. Shocking! The diamond rods alone are 300 PLN. Definitely too expensive, I wouldn't buy it at this price now.
