The biggest advantage is the box. It's not big, very handy and you can literally squeeze it anywhere, into any smallest organizer or compartment. They don't get in the way when carried in your pants or hoodie/jacket pockets. I haven't tested the waterproofness yet, but there is no rubber seal on the cap. The matches inside look like ordinary matches. They do not have an increased amount of match head mass. Maybe that's a matter of the name—they are not stormproof matches, just survival matches, so the most survival part is the container for them. The striker on the outside is very rough and sometimes scrapes off most of the match before it ignites, especially if the weather conditions are very damp.
