This is a great jacket that can also be combined with an ECWCS jacket. It also works perfectly on its own during warmer days. It has plenty of pockets where you can easily fit your things.
Texar Husky Fleece - Gray
Gray fleece jacket engineered for superior thermal insulation in harsh, cold environments. Ideal for layering under softshell jackets or functioning as a standalone fleece option.
fleece construction, 360 g/m2
Constructed from 360 g/m2 fleece material, the model delivers excellent breathability, wind protection, and thermal insulation, forming a reliable barrier during outdoor operations. Ventilation openings positioned beneath the arms enhance airflow and facilitate effective thermal regulation. Sleeves at the shoulders and running from wrist to elbow are reinforced with abrasion-resistant nylon for increased durability. The generous cut accommodates not only lightweight underlayers but also enables wearing a ballistic vest. With a slightly elongated back panel, the kidneys receive added wind protection, while the jacket’s overall short length ensures quick and easy access to waist-mounted gear and pockets.
5 spacious pockets
Equipped with five functional pockets, the fleece offers ample storage options:
- a zippered chest pocket
- two zippered hip pockets
- two zippered sleeve pockets positioned at shoulder level
velcro panels
Sleeve pockets feature velcro panels, allowing for the attachment of patches that showcase the user's personal style.
large hood with visor, waist drawcord, adjustable cuffs
The hood is generously sized to fit over headgear and is equipped with a soft visor that shields the face from rain. The hood is integrated into the collar for continuous neck coverage, even when the hood is down, safeguarding vulnerable areas against wind. Enhanced protection is further achieved with drawcords at the lower hem. The cuffs can be adjusted using velcro, ensuring an adaptable fit for varying wrist sizes, and providing space for gloves or a watch.

Very good jacket, which can be worn with the ECWCS jacket or separately when it's not cold. I will definitely buy it again.

Polar bought as a spring-autumn sweatshirt (outer layer). To avoid a baggy effect, I bought size S at 176 cm and 78 kg. It fits. Nice and soft material. Well made. The hood lies nicely on the back. If I had to pick on something, it's the stiff Velcro panels on the shoulders and the hard, rubber Velcro straps on the wrists for adjustment. It's also worth noting that the sweatshirt is quite short. This makes access to pockets easier, but it may not suit everyone. I am satisfied with the purchase and recommend it.

So maybe I'll share my opinion too. The pluses are a very pleasant material, fairly warm, that’s about it. The minuses are a slightly longer list: the cut at the chest height is okay, but going down it widens by 3 cm and looks like a trapezoid, which is unappealing. The sleeves with velcro panels are very stiff—maybe they’ll soften with time. In terms of length, when your arm is down, the sleeves reach almost to the wrists. I also bought a Helikon fleece and its quality is incomparably better.

The fleece is generally great, comfortable, nice, and well-made. The downsides are the small pockets. The material is pleasant to the touch and, above all, warm. I recommend the product.

The fleece is warm, nice, and comfortable. I am satisfied and recommend it! Lightweight, size L for height 185 cm and 85 kg is perfect. If anyone is hesitating, go ahead and get it ;)

For me: AMAZING! It took me a long time to find the perfect fleece, but the Texar Husky is a bullseye. Very warm and at the same time very comfortable. High collar – just the way I like it, plus a nice hood with a slight brim. It accompanied me on a several-hour walk around Opole on a cloudy day and I never felt cold – quite the opposite, the temperature was perfect for me. The sleeve pockets are cleverly designed. As for sizing: I have size L, for about 185 cm height and around 80 kg weight, and it fits perfectly.

I've been using this fleece for over 4 years and it is worth recommending. The price for the quality is satisfactory. A plus is the hood, which protects well against the wind. Another big plus are the underarm zippers for ventilation, shoulder pockets, and a large inner chest pocket. The material is pleasant to the touch and most importantly warm. I recommend this product.

Great sweatshirt, very warm. Well made. Size XL fits perfectly for 190 cm and 99 kg, though the back could be a bit longer. Fast shipping. I recommend it.
-
I use the Texar fleece on colder autumn days, thanks to its great thermal insulation it provides comfort in cold weather and really keeps you warm. Good quality, and if you catch it on promotion - super price.

I am very satisfied. It fits perfectly. I haven't tested it in extreme conditions yet, but I will. The sweatshirt looks solid and has nice pockets. It's definitely warm.

Fleece was bought as a test for a different cut than ECWCS II. The cut is more fitted—both, in size S, fit a person 174 cm with 95 kg. However, the Husky starts to be tight. The chest and arm pockets do not fit a 6.3-inch phone. In ECWCS II, the phone fits in the chest pocket. The total pocket volume is larger than in ECWCS II. Thanks to the underarm zippers, heat regulation in high temperatures is better than with the thinner ECWCS.

Great sweatshirt. Warm and has a loose cut. Unlike the Helikon I tried on in a stationary store. Size L fits for a height of 177cm. Too bad they're not available in Puma camouflage.
-
Buying this fleece was a perfect decision. It is comfortable to wear, thick, warm, and provides thermal comfort even on colder days. I mainly use it in the city, but I have no doubt it will work well outdoors too. Big plus for reinforcements on the elbows and shoulders.
-
Great sweatshirt, strongly insulating. Lots of pockets, and the ones on the sleeves are practical too, not just for show. I picked XL for 180cm and 82kg, it's a bit loose so I can easily put a thin fleece underneath.
