Accidents are a part of life. Acquire the skills to save others in critical situations.

Serious threats such as injuries, wounds, poisoning, and hypothermia can jeopardize both health and life. No one wants to encounter such events, yet anyone could unexpectedly become a bystander or victim during an accident, a natural or industrial disaster, an unintentional shooting, or even military operations. Until rescue services arrive, delivering first aid falls to those present at the scene.

Paweł Frankowski and Adam Chałuda created this publication chiefly for tourists, survivalists, preppers, Territorial Defence Force members, uniformed class students, future KPP protectors, and healthcare workers. The book takes into account both those serving in civilian roles and those on the frontlines, integrating elements of both civilian and military medicine in line with TCCC standards. Readers will find principles for administering safe and effective pre-medical care, methods of improvisation, and treatment, as well as clarifications addressing widespread medical misconceptions.

I have no experience in first aid, I wanted to gain knowledge on the subject. The book is written in an accessible way, and you can find the experiences of others. Good for beginners.

A very valuable book, written in understandable language, and at the same time extremely substantive. The authors show how to cope in difficult situations and provide first aid where there is no quick access to a doctor. The examples are practical, and the advice can save lives. It is a must-read for anyone interested in survival, travel, or just basic safety in the field.

The book "Accidents Happen to People" by Paweł Frankowski and Adam Chałuda is a first aid guide that combines civilian and military medicine. It is intended for tourists, survivalists, soldiers, uniformed class students, and future rescuers, offering knowledge on effective first aid, improvisation, and debunking medical myths.

I recommend the book, I skimmed through it to check if it's even suitable, and I confidently say it's definitely worth recommending. Hopefully, the knowledge gained will never be needed.

In my opinion, the book is great. You can gain a lot of knowledge from it, which will surely come in handy someday. As the book itself says, it's worth practicing with someone experienced what you find in it, because we won't always be able to do something right ourselves, but as a fact of helping someone in need, it's worth acquiring this knowledge from the book.

The book presents a high level of knowledge shared and fully covers the topic, answering all the questions of someone just starting their adventure with pre-medical help. The only issue is that the illustration on page 92 contradicts the first sentence on page 101 regarding the application of the wound packing method. After spending 60 PLN, I expected at least a durable hardcover rather than a piece of flexible cardboard, for which I deduct one star - quality of workmanship.

If someone likes reading and this kind of atmosphere, I think they will enjoy it. Decently written, and at the same time you can learn something useful.

I definitely recommend it, especially now, when times are quite crazy, and things could get even crazier soon. Of course, we never know how we'll react in the moment of truth, when blood is flowing, but even if we can't help ourselves, we will know what to do so as not to get in the way.

The book is small in format. It easily fits in a backpack for a trip. A very handy compendium and introduction to TCCC. It is also simply worth having in your home library. The paper quality is average, but this does not diminish the value of the book.

"First aid before medical help. Outdoor - Survival - War" will not make us specialists in providing first aid, but if we ever find ourselves in a situation that requires pre-medical actions, we might be able to use the knowledge you'll find in this book, and ultimately save someone's life.
