Michał Sielicki, known as Trollsky, stands among the most renowned Polish knifemakers with global recognition. His craft relies solely on handwork, focusing on 80CRV2 steel and upcycled materials. Every piece features the distinctive chili pepper emblem, marking both his custom creations and collaborations with Bestech Knives.

Drop-Point blade, 14C28N steel, jimping

Equipped with a Drop-Point blade measuring 91 mm, this knife utilizes 14C28N stainless steel, known for its superior edge retention, high resistance to corrosion, and ease of resharpening. The blade undergoes heat treatment to achieve a 59–60 HRC hardness and is finished with a black coating that minimizes reflection and adds extra protection against corrosion. Along the spine at the thumb rest, jimping (serrations) is incorporated for enhanced control while cutting.

flipper, Liner Lock mechanism

Designed with a flipper, the knife allows for swift blade deployment, while the flipper also acts as a guard to prevent your hand from slipping onto the cutting edge once the blade is open. The Mandu XL is fitted with a Liner Lock system that securely holds the blade in the open position. Furthermore, the lock mechanism enhances user safety by preventing unintentional blade opening during transport.

Contoured handle, steel clip

The handle’s ergonomic design ensures a solid and reliable grip. Constructed from black G10 laminate, the scales are both lightweight and exceptionally durable. This material stands up to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and is highly resistant to common solvents and acids. Featuring a strong deep-carry steel clip positioned for tip-up carry, the tool offers comfortable and discreet portability.

14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.

    This is a top-shelf knife – excellent quality of workmanship, precise fit of the components, outstanding sharpness, the knife opening system is amazing, you can feel the quality from the start – the knife came in nice packaging – perfect for a gift. It's almost a shame to use it outdoors – I will definitely buy another one, I recommend it.
