This functionality facilitates monitoring two separate frequencies, automatically prioritizing the frequency from which an incoming call originates. The TH-UV98 radio comes equipped with CTCSS and DCS as well as basic encryption via scrambler.
Featuring a PTT (push-to-talk) button, the radio offers reliable communication. Integration with a Kenwood type connector enables users to connect headsets with microphones, specialized micro speakers, or tactical hearing protectors. An antenna connector in the SMA-M standard is used by the device. Programming can be done conveniently from the keyboard or through a computer using a USB cable (not included). Compatibility with cables from the Baofeng UV-5R and Baofeng UV-82 models expands its versatility. Advanced software delivers a range of options for grouping and identification.
