Faithful reproduction of one of history’s most iconic revolvers, first manufactured by the American firm Colt and directly inspired by the legendary 1873 Single Action Army model. The Cattleman revolver is a 6-shot muzzle-loading, black powder firearm utilizing percussion caps.

 

Construction and materials

Outfitted with a 7.5-inch barrel chambered in .44 caliber, the revolver features both barrel and frame crafted from forged steel finished in blued black. Classic aesthetics are accentuated by a trigger guard and grip constructed from brass, offering both vintage style and durable corrosion resistance.

The 1873 Cattleman model takes direct inspiration from the iconic Colt revolver, renowned as the top-selling and most famous revolver ever crafted, which once dominated the streets of Dodge City, Kansas. Its uniqueness is found in the use of separate loads instead of joint ammunition. Initially produced for Bat Masterson of the legendary Long Branch Saloon in Dodge City, this model rapidly earned a reputation among lawmen, ranchers, hired guns, bounty hunters, and desperados across the expanse of the "Wild West."

    Very fast shipping. When it comes to the revolver, Uberti does a great job, finish, fitting, even though the materials are softer than the competition, it is still a recommendable product. I've already made modifications: barrel crown, lowering the front sight, checkering the grip panels, tool steel ring for the cylinder, and minor filing (now the gap is 0.05mm). The Cattleman has fired over 0.6kg of powder with 545 balls and nothing bad has happened to it.

    The shipping time is astonishing. The revolver is really beautiful. While waiting for the press, I'm learning how to replace the cylinder, everything is perfect, I think shooting will be the icing on the cake.
