Faithful reproduction of one of the most iconic revolvers ever made, initially crafted by the American manufacturer Colt and directly inspired by the legendary 1873 Single Action Army model. The Cattleman is a six-shot black powder, percussion-cap revolver, loaded from the muzzle. The Thunderer variant comes with a ergonomically designed grip for convenient one-handed handling. This makes it an excellent option for rapid firing at close range.

Featuring a 3.5-inch barrel chambered in .44 caliber, the revolver is equipped with fixed sighting devices at the front and rear. Both the frame and barrel are constructed from fire-hardened steel, as are the trigger guard and grip frame. The grip panels are crafted from high-quality walnut wood.

The 1873 Cattleman model follows directly from the Colt classic, the highest-selling revolver in history and a staple on the streets of Dodge City, Kansas. A notable distinction lies in the use of separate powder, primer, and ball instead of integrated cartridges.

Following its production for Bat Masterson of Long Branch Saloon in Dodge City, the model swiftly gained esteem among lawmen, ranchers, hired guns, bounty hunters, and desperados across the "Wild West."

Uberti is an Italian manufacturer of historical firearm replicas, founded in 1959 in Gardone Val Trompia by Aldo Uberti. The company is famous for its faithful reproductions of revolvers, rifles, and shotguns from the Civil War and the Wild West, which, thanks to modern materials, often surpass the originals in terms of quality. Its replicas have appeared in Sergio Leone's cult westerns, such as “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” and “Once Upon a Time in the West,” as well as in “Dances with Wolves” starring Kevin Costner. Today, Uberti products are prized by collectors and used in Cowboy Action Shooting competitions, where both authenticity and reliability of the weapon are important.

Very well-made revolver. Comfortable grip, fits well in the hand for such a small pistol. I definitely recommend it, especially if someone is looking for something small. Recommended.

The revolver fits well in the hand, you can really feel the weight. There is a rather large gap between the cylinder and the barrel, about 0.3 mm compared to the Remington Sheriff from Pietta, where the gap is less than 0.1 mm, barely visible. That's why I give it 4 stars.

A small but solid revolver, comfortable grip - fits very well in the hand. I definitely recommend it, especially if someone doesn't want to buy a large revolver with a long barrel.

I use a Remington 8-inch. When I picked up the 3.5-inch Catleman, I thought it would be "light." But here—disappointment! There is a difference, but it is barely noticeable. Even with 3.5 inches, it has its weight. Unfortunately, the press from the Remington won't fit the Catleman. The Remington has a larger cylinder axis diameter. You need to buy a dedicated press for the Catleman. Overall, the Catleman is so beautiful that it’s almost a shame to use it at the shooting range(?) Too bad it’s not inox. P.S. The disappointment, of course, is not meant negatively!!!

Great black powder gun. Excellently made. The first impression is a pretty heavy weight. However, it feels very secure in your hand. I recommend it.
