Personal camouflage net in M05 Finnish Woodland Camo camouflage designed for use in 2 configurations. It can be worn as an outer camouflage layer over clothing and equipment or spread out as a net for camouflaging a position, an observation point in the field, a backpack and other gear.

The design is based on a rectangular sheet of netting with a camouflage print. Thanks to the appropriate placement of snaps and the use of a drawstring it can quickly be transformed into a lightweight hooded cape. When unfastened, it remains a fully functional camouflage accessory that can be adapted to the current task and field conditions.

The net is made of 100% polyester with a grammage of 260 g/m2. The material creates a durable yet breathable surface for camouflage, suitable for use as an outer layer over clothing and as cover for gear.

The open mesh structure limits heat build-up and allows air to flow through. Thanks to this, the L7 can be used during longer periods spent in the field.

The structure of the material also provides attachment points for natural camouflage elements, such as grasses, leaves, small branches or other materials available in the surroundings. Adding them allows you to modify the appearance of the net and better adapt it to a specific environment, season and type of vegetation.

The net can quickly be transformed into a lightweight camouflage cape worn as an outer layer over clothing and equipment. The applied snap system connects individual sections of the material, creating a loose construction. Snaps are also placed in the side and sleeve areas, making the cape easy to put on and take off.

The upper part of the net forms a hood that helps cover the head. A drawstring is used to adjust the arrangement of the material, allowing the cape to be fitted to the figure and to limit loose sections of the net. The design retains a loose fit and does not restrict movement.

The snaps also allow quick emergency shedding of the cape in case it gets caught on branches, fencing or other obstacles. Their matte black covers reduce the risk of light reflections forming and improve the consistency of the cape with the remaining camouflage equipment.

After unsnapping, the L7 becomes a rectangular sheet of material. In this configuration, it can be used to conceal:

• optical and optoelectronic equipment
• a backpack or other pouches
• small field points
• items of equipment left at the place of operation

Attachment points placed in the corners make it easier to secure the net to the ground, vegetation, a frame or other terrain elements. The rectangular shape allows the material to be spread over gear or suspended as a lightweight cover.

All materials, prints and net elements used are compliant with NIR requirements for limiting reflection in the near-infrared range. This helps to reduce the risk of creating strong contrast during observation using night vision devices.

M05 (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) camouflage is a family of pixelated camouflage patterns introduced into the Finnish Armed Forces in 2005 as the successor to the M91 pattern. It was developed on the basis of digital analysis of photographs of Finnish forests, taken in different seasons by the Finnish Forest Research Institute. The M05 family includes several variants, including woodland, snow and cold weather.

The main woodland version M05 consists of patches in light green, dark green, brown and dark graphite, effectively reproducing the structure of Finnish forests. Thanks to similar vegetation cover and terrain conditions, M05 Woodland camouflage also performs well in the forests of Central and Eastern Europe, providing effective camouflage in a natural environment.
