Designed for solo use, the self-inflating mat is crafted from 75D polyester, valued for outstanding durability as well as abrasion and damage resistance. Featuring lightweight yet durable polyurethane foam and offering a high insulation rating of R-Value 2.9, it provides reliable protection from cold and uneven terrain.
The model features a thermal insulation rating of R-Value 2.9, specified in accordance with ASTM F3340-18. This parameter defines the level of insulation from the ground - the higher the value, the more effective the reduction of heat loss.
Interpretation of R-Value used in the outdoor industry:
- 1.0-2.0 - use in summer conditions (night temperatures above approx. 10 deg. C),
- 2.1-3.5 - spring-summer-fall use (approx. 0-10 deg. C),
- 3.6-5.0 - cool conditions, around 0 deg. C and sub-zero temperatures down to approx. -5 /-10 deg. C,
- 5.1-7.0 - winter use, temperatures below 0 deg. C,
- above 7.0 - winter conditions with increased insulation requirements.
Actual thermal comfort depends on the sleeping system (sleeping bag, clothing), the type of ground, and the individual user's resistance to cold.
A substantial thickness of 3.8 cm ensures superior comfort and robust insulation against rough and cold ground. The outer layer made from Honeycomb polyester material stands out for its excellent resistance to abrasion and mechanical wear. Internally, a core of self-expanding PU foam draws in air automatically when the valve is opened, granting the mat optimal bounce and support. Air leakage is effectively prevented thanks to a patented valve system.
Transport is made convenient thanks to the compression strap with Velcro and protective cover. The package also comes with a repair kit for added utility.
Packed down, the mat reaches compact dimensions of 29 x 14 cm, allowing for effortless storage in a backpack.
