Pitbull is a brand whose history begins in 1989. At that time, Volker G. Albishausen visited California for the first time and, influenced by its culture, returned to Germany with the idea of ​​opening his own clothing store. In 1989, he opened his first store in Frankfurt, Germany. In 1991, Albishausen decided to move to San Diego North County, California, where he officially founded the Pitbull brand. The brand name was inspired by Volker's pitbull dog, which for many years appeared (and sometimes still does) on the company's T-shirts and sweatshirts.
