Replicas of the Colt 1911 pistol, also known as the Colt Goverment, are one of the more popular models found on the market. The Colt M1911 is a legendary American-made pistol that went into production in 1911. In 1926, the Colt 1911 underwent an upgrade to the M1911A1 model. The Colt 1911 is one of the most popular automatic pistols from the early 20th century. Colt replicas are most often gas-powered using green gas or 12 gram CO2 capsules. There are also compression-powered models, in which the spring must be re-tensioned after each shot, and electric-powered models, which are driven by a special pistol gearbox. To make replicas of the M1911 family, manufacturers use a variety of materials, including metal and plastic - exactly like the flammable counterpart.
Externally, Colt pistol replicas are equipped with manipulators like those in firearms. A grip lock is placed in the rear of the grip, the purpose of which is to prevent the shooter from firing an uncontrolled shot without proper hand placement on the weapon. The second lock used in the Colt pistol is the wing, which locks the trigger and the lock. The use of this lock is possible only after the replica is prepared for firing by pulling back the lock.
