A holster is a type of case or pouch that is designed to carry a pistol/revolver. A holster is most often clipped to the belt, to a thigh panel or placed under the armpit. Both holsters, belts and thigh panels with holsters are available in this category. Anyone who has a need to carry a personal weapon on a daily basis (referred to in English as "EDC", or everyday carry) will appreciate the possibilities that come with having a holster. The holster can comfortably carry firearms, as well as alarm guns, ASGs or wind guns.
Holsters can be made of kydex, nylon or leather. Each user has different preferences and will choose the holster that will best fit their expectations. Another aspect of the wide range of customization of holsters will be the ability to carry in different ways. For example, a holster can be based on a wide loop through which a belt is pulled, making it possible for both right-handed and left-handed users. There are also holsters mounted on the thigh or, for example, using suspenders, which allow the weapon to be carried under the arm.
A holster can be dedicated to a specific model of pistol, or it can be universal. The key is that the holster should be properly matched in all respects, Therefore, it is important not only to match the model of the gun, but also to match in terms of convenience and functionality - such as easy and quick draw of the gun. The last advantage worth mentioning is that the holster can protect the gun from potential scratches.
