The jacket looks good. I decided to remove the fur because in Ukraine it isn’t necessary (it would be more useful in the Arctic). Size L fits me perfectly (I am 178 cm tall and weigh 92 kg). The only thing that surprised me was that there was no possibility to try it on at Nova Poshta – it was clearly stated that you can only look at it, but not try it on. So, I had to make the decision at my own risk. Luckily, everything turned out fine. It’s really unusual that you can’t try it on before buying.
Alpha Industries Explorer Jacket - Black
Long winter jacket in Black, extending to mid-thigh, engineered for performance in extreme weather conditions. Fitted design and large hood deliver robust protection against wind and freezing temperatures.
Durable outer material, warm lining
The outer shell is crafted from a wind- and moisture-resistant blend of nylon (53%) and polyester (47%). A polyester lining inside the jacket, combined with nylon insulation, delivers reliable thermal retention and comfort during extreme cold. Reinforced outer panels provide enhanced durability.
Zipper, buttoned flap, drawcords
Equipped with a two-way zipper shielded by a flap secured with oversized Canadian-style buttons, the model ensures reliable operation, even when wearing thick gloves. Elastic cuffs built into the sleeves, along with a hip drawcord and an internal waist drawcord, enable precise adjustment to your body, providing effective protection against cold.
Deep hood
Absence of a traditional collar is compensated by an integrated hood outfitted with a detachable synthetic fur trim for added neck protection. A metal buckle on the back of the hood enhances its rugged, aviation-inspired aesthetic.

A really decent product. However, it's worth remembering that the manufacturer might slightly understate the sizing, or the fit is more tailored, even though the description says it is loose. For comparison – XXL from Timberland fits me much more loosely.
-
The jacket is very thick and warm but does not restrict movement. I am 176 cm tall, 110 cm in the chest, and bought size L—it fits perfectly. After putting on a thick fleece, there's still a bit of extra room in the jacket so it doesn't restrict movement. Customers' opinions about heat retention are also confirmed—at -10C and with only a thin shirt underneath, I went outside and felt comfortable. I recommend it.

I've had this jacket for the second season and I must admit that it works well. I've worn it in our mountains in winter and it performed well. It keeps the right temperature. At 0 degrees, I go out wearing only a thermal shirt underneath. The only complaint I have is about the way the buttons are sewn. After a year of use, two buttons have already fallen off. At this price, they could be sewn better.

The jacket is very warm and practical. With a height of 188 and weight of 95, size XL is perfect. A major drawback is the buttons, which are poorly sewn and after a month of use the threads started to break, so they will probably fall off soon and I will have to make a complaint, which is inconvenient in the winter season because unfortunately the shop has 14 days to process the complaint and being left without a jacket in the winter is a bit uncomfortable.

To avoid repeating all the other opinions, I'll just add that the zipper opens in two directions, meaning you can open the bottom half of the jacket, for example when getting into the car, while keeping the top part fastened, and there is an adjustment at the waist. 10/10

Due to the rather high price, I hesitated a bit before buying, but after looking at and trying on the jacket, I can say that I know what I paid for. The quality of craftsmanship, materials used, good design, placement and number of pockets are at a very good level (the internal one would only need to be zippered). As for heat retention, I can't say much yet because the season is still ahead, but I think I won't be disappointed either.

The jacket is extremely comfortable and warm. I thought for a long time about buying it because it's quite expensive, but it was worth it... I wore the jacket at -20°C with only a T-shirt and shirt underneath and I was hot. It handles rain, snow, and wind very well. There are enough pockets and they are in convenient places. I don't recommend wearing it in shopping malls... it's like a sauna. I'm thinking of buying a similar one for my wife :)

I hesitated for a long time before buying this jacket, but I don't regret it. The jacket is light and warm. It's true I haven't had the chance to test it in subzero temperatures. The workmanship quality is top level, with a large number of pockets. I think this won't be my last Alpha Industries jacket, I recommend it.

Heavy, large, and perfectly warm. I had heard a lot about Alfa's products and their quality, but after getting my hands on this jacket, I must say it exceeded my wildest expectations. The size chart on the website is accurate. I took size L. At 183 cm tall and 105 cm chest, it fits very well even with a thick sweatshirt underneath. Admittedly, due to the slim fit, you have to slightly unzip it at the bottom to, for example, tie your shoe on the street, but that's a minor drawback. In general, I highly recommend it.

The jacket is nice and warm, but the buttons are sewn on by a thread. After just a few days of normal wear on my way to work, I had 3 buttons to sew back on. I had to reinforce all the remaining ones because the factory stitching doesn't guarantee that the buttons will stay in place.

The jacket is very warm yet not heavy. This is already my third winter and everything works and looks as it did at the start. The bottom-up zipper is a useful feature when you have to drive in a small car. As for washing, it was under warranty washed at a dry cleaner before. But now I risked washing it in a washing machine. Nikwax Tech Wash set + second wash with TX Direct, Samsung washing machine, program for jackets and coats at 30°C, 3 rinses, 800 rpm. The jacket is like new, nothing got damaged, still fluffy and warm. Highly recommend, excellent quality and always stylish design.
-
Very warm jacket. Great materials and excellent craftsmanship, no crooked stitches or loose threads. It's a pity the sizing didn't work for me. Size M is a bit too tight and L has way too long sleeves.
-
The jacket is beautiful! Super warm. It's long, down to mid-thigh, protects excellently against frost and wind. I recommend the jacket, but also the store. Delivery was a masterpiece... in 18 hours! Thank you militaria.pl

I've been wearing this jacket for the eighth season, it's indestructible! It's very warm, it copes even with temperatures over ten degrees below zero. It has the perfect number of comfortable pockets. I recommend it with a clear conscience!
