Constructed from robust, tear-resistant nylon, the outer shell offers effective protection against wind and moisture. The MA-1 is reversible and can be worn on either the right or left side. The lining features a high-visibility orange color. Originally, this practical design element served USAF pilots, providing increased chances of recovery by rescue teams in the event of an emergency landing or shoot-down. Today, such enhanced visibility offers added safety when traveling on dark, unlit roads outside urban areas.

The primary fastening system of the MA-1 TT jacket features a one-way zipper equipped with an eco-leather pull, allowing for convenient operation even while wearing gloves. An internal thermal strip shields the zipper, providing additional defense against heat loss. Elastic welts are integrated at the collar, cuffs, and waist to enhance cold resistance and ensure a snug, tailored fit to the wearer’s body.
