Alpinus Kiruna Jacket - Brown

A down jacket in brown designed for use during the transitional season - in autumn, spring and during mild winter weather. It combines natural duck down insulation, a wind-resistant construction and practical solutions that work well both during outdoor activities and everyday use.

The lightweight, quilted design ensures comfort, while the three-dimensional structure of the down traps warmed air inside the chambers, helping maintain optimal thermal comfort. The Kiruna model protects against the cold and effectively limits wind penetration.

The outer material is made of 100% Rip-Stop nylon. Its characteristic grid structure reinforces the fabric and reduces the risk of any tears becoming larger. The material limits the penetration of cold wind, supporting the thermal insulation performance of the natural down during outdoor activity.

The outer fabric is coated with a DWR finish that increases its water repellency. Water droplets run off the surface of the material instead of immediately soaking into its structure. The coating helps protect the jacket from light rain, drizzle, morning dew and moisture.

The inside of the jacket is finished with a 400T nylon lining, also equipped with a DWR finish. The smooth surface improves wearing comfort and makes it easier to put the jacket on over an additional layer of clothing.

The jacket is filled with natural duck down in a 90/10 ratio - 90% down and 10% feathers. The down forms a three-dimensional structure that traps warmed air and limits its exchange with the cold surroundings. As a result, the jacket provides effective protection against heat loss while remaining relatively lightweight.

The insulation with a grammage of 175 g/m2 is distributed in chambers created by horizontal quilting. This solution helps keep the down in the right place and reduces its shifting during wear. Even distribution of the insulation results in stable thermal properties across the entire surface of the torso and sleeves.

The Kiruna model is equipped with a total of 5 pockets:

• 2 external side pockets closed with zippers
• 1 vertical chest pocket closed with a zipper
• 2 open internal pockets

The side pockets are lined with soft microfleece. They can be used to warm your hands or store small items such as keys, a phone or documents.

The vertical chest pocket provides quick access to the most frequently used accessories. The internal pockets offer additional space for a hat, gloves, a phone or other lightweight equipment.

The jacket is equipped with an integrated hood with a shaped visor that shields the head, forehead and face from the cold and light precipitation. Thanks to the adjustment with cord locks, its circumference can be adjusted to fit the head and reduce the inflow of cold air during windy weather.

At the front there is a main SBS zipper running from the lower edge of the jacket to the high collar. The zipper is equipped with a chin guard flap to protect the chin from contact with the slider and a puller for easier operation while wearing gloves. When fully zipped up, the raised collar and hood create additional protection for the neck and head against the cold and gusts of wind.

The lower edge of the jacket is equipped with a drawstring with cord locks. It allows the circumference to be adjusted to the silhouette and helps reduce drafts from below.

The fit of the Kiruna model has been designed to provide comfort during activity. The quilted construction adapts to the silhouette while allowing full freedom of movement.
