The best backpack I've ever had. High quality workmanship, lots of compartments. Nothing has happened for 2 years, and it has been used regularly. I was worried about the zippers, but they're holding up well.
Alpinus Otway 50 l Backpack - Black
Black, rugged backpack with a 50-liter capacity, crafted from tough, abrasion-resistant 400D nylon. Engineered for comfort, even during prolonged use. An ideal pack for day hikes, trekking, camping, or multi-day wilderness adventures.
Spacious main compartment, 8 pockets
A generous main compartment is secured by a lid with a YKK zipper, allowing access from both the top and front. The interior features a dedicated section for a hydration bladder or laptop, along with a pocket for documents.
Equipped with two spacious side compartments, the backpack also provides two stretchable side pockets designed to hold a water bottle or a damp jacket, a front pocket for smaller gear, two compact hip belt pockets, and a lid compartment with an internal pocket. Contents in the front pocket are shielded from moisture thanks to the laminated YKK zipper and Teflon coating.
Adjustable shoulder straps, chest and hip belt, UTX buckle with emergency whistle
The carrying system incorporates a removable frame, enabling customization of the pack to your specific requirements. Wide, adjustable shoulder straps with generous padding help distribute weight evenly during heavy use, ensuring superior comfort. The interior side is lined with a soft, breathable mesh fabric.
A adjustable chest strap closes securely with a UTX buckle that includes an integrated emergency whistle. Soft foam padding enhances comfort on the hip belt, providing added support during long wear. The ergonomically designed neoprene back panel resists moisture absorption, while perforations throughout the panel promote effective air circulation.
Compression straps, loops for attaching trekking poles
Equipped with compression straps, the pack enables precise adjustment of its capacity to suit your current load. These straps serve a dual purpose, offering attachment options for additional items such as a jacket, bivvy tarp, or sleeping pad. Loops and attachment points on the front panel accommodate trekking poles, an ice axe, or other essential field gear.
Rain cover, Alpinus Safety reflective elements
Equipped with a rain cover, the backpack is designed for challenging outdoor conditions. Alpinus Safety reflective elements provide increased visibility and protection during nighttime trekking or when navigating through fog.

A well-thought-out concept, a very nice and spacious backpack at an affordable price. The shoulder straps are easy to adjust, both at the chest and at the hip belt. There are two practical pockets on the hip belt for small items. Additional equipment can be attached to the sides; there are no straps at the bottom because the rain cover is located there. I really like this backpack and recommend it to everyone.

Nice, roomy backpack for 2–3 day trips. You can easily fit a tent / sleeping bag and other expedition accessories inside. Recently tested in the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura. I recommend.
-
Backpack as described, comfortable, spacious, great value for money. It will work both for everyday use and for hikes on the trail. I recommend it with a clear conscience.

After 5 days of hiking in the Bieszczady Mountains, it’s still all in one piece. Despite two rainy days and packing it to the brim, nothing happened. It sits comfortably on the shoulders and back. Recommend!!!

Spacious, well-designed and well-thought-out backpack. Sturdy, smooth-running zippers. Very good carrying system, handy pockets on the hip belt. Access to the interior from almost every side. Possibility to mount a hydration bladder, here a minor minus for the lack of an internal hook to attach the bladder, so it just lies loose in its compartment... I had to sew in a holder myself... Overall, a very good backpack made from strong materials, with a good carrying system that does not tire my back too quickly.

As for the backpack itself, it's okay for a one-day trip, but after a few excursions, the handle for lifting the backpack broke off, and after the second use of the hip belt, it simply snapped. As for adjustment and other typical technical aspects, I highly recommend it.

A good backpack for lovers of multi-day trips. Spacious with a good carrying system. Solid, well-fitted and sewn. Durable materials, plus reflective elements – for me, number one in this price range, and it’s a Polish Alpinus. I remember this brand from the early 90s and I have a sentimental attachment to it. I recommend it.

A very nice, spacious backpack for a reasonable price. Lots of adjustment options for the straps, both chest and hip. On the hip belt, there are two handy pockets for small items. Possibility to attach additional equipment on the sides (no attachment at the bottom, there you'll find the rain cover). Build quality is not top-notch but it's OK.

A very well thought-out backpack. Lots of pockets. You can pack in many different ways. A carrying system that can be adjusted to your body shape. The backpack actually weighs 1560g, but you can lighten it by 78 grams by removing the metal stiffener. The backpack feels very solid for this volume and weight. In my opinion, an excellent backpack for not much money. Plus for being a Polish company, but the execution is made in China, same as Helikon.
