The ASG version of the STI Duty One is an accurate replica of the original firearm – the STI Duty One, which is based on the iconic Colt 1911, otherwise recognized as the Colt Government.
Meeting STI's stringent finish criteria, the Duty One is equipped with a matte-finished metal slide. Distinct serrations on the slide, both ahead of the front sight and behind the grip, guarantee a secure hold for quick reloading, even with gloves on.
Both the trigger and hammer are constructed from metal. The trigger assembly employs the SA (single action) system, requiring the hammer to be cocked, via slide manipulation, before firing.
Every time the pistol fires, the slide cycles backward – the Blow Back system generates realistic recoil, simultaneously re-cocking the hammer. Recoil is clearly felt, closely simulating the experience of firing a real firearm. Additionally, the automatic re-cocking ensures a rapid firing rate.
Designed to chamber 6 mm composite BBs, the magazine accommodates 14 rounds and is powered by compressed CO2. Both the magazine and the 12-gram CO2 cartridge fit within the grip. With a 0.2 g BB, the muzzle velocity reaches 372 fps.
Theoretical firing speed nears 400 rounds per minute, allowing an entire magazine to be emptied in just 4 seconds! Once the slide moves rearward and there are no remaining BBs, it locks open. The slide release lever, situated above the trigger on the pistol’s left side, permits swift slide closure.
For safe operation, a manual safety is positioned above the right thumb. Engaging the safety locks the trigger (keeping it at rest), the hammer (irrespective of its position), and the slide. The safety is a wing-style switch on the pistol’s left flank.
To release the magazine, simply press the button located at the base of the trigger guard, near the left side grip.
The grip panels feature a graphite-black finish with diagonal striping. Grooved texturing at the front and rear of the grip, in non-paneled sections, combines with the grip scales to maximize control during handling.
Open, windage-adjustable sights (front and rear) make aiming straightforward. Beneath the barrel sits a rail compliant with STANAG 2324 (commonly called Weaver or Picatinny), ideal for mounting a laser or flashlight.
Markings from STI adorn the pistol’s robust slide. The colorway is military-inspired: the frame, slide, and grip panels feature a matte black coating.
Serving as a legitimate replica of a contemporary service handgun, the model is heavy, solidly built, and highly realistic. Functional similarity with the original combat pistol is maintained.
Included in the package are a starter pack of BBs and an Allen key.
A 6-month warranty covers the pistol.
