Axil X30i Passive Hearing Protectors - Charcoal
In-ear hearing protectors intended to protect hearing during shooting and work in noisy environments. The model uses two protection modes – open and closed, which allow the level of isolation to be adjusted to the type of noise. Interchangeable foam and silicone tips allow a proper fit to the ear, and a simple switch allows quick changes of work modes.
Water and sweat resistance
The construction of the hearing protectors is resistant to water and sweat, which allows use during intense activity and in changing conditions. The included carry case makes it easier to store and carry the protectors together with the interchangeable tips.
Open and closed mode and interchangeable tips
On the housing of each protector there is a mechanical switch that opens or closes the sound channel. In open mode, the protectors let ambient sounds through while limiting sudden impulse noises. Closed mode increases isolation from the surroundings and is intended to protect against continuous noise.
The level of attenuation depends on the type of tips used and the selected mode. For foam tips, the SNR value is 25 dB in closed mode and 22 dB in open mode, while the NRR is respectively 19 dB and 16 dB. For silicone tips, the SNR is 21 dB in closed mode and 20 dB in open mode, and the NRR is respectively 15 dB and 13 dB. Impulse noise protection IPIL is 31 dB for foam tips and 30 dB for silicone tips.
Standards and certifications
The protectors meet the requirements of standards and markings related to safety, hearing protection effectiveness, and product compliance in different markets.
- EN352-2 – European standard specifying requirements for the safety and effectiveness of earplugs
- ANSI – American technical standards covering, among others, requirements for hearing protection
- AS/NZ – standards used in Australia and New Zealand concerning the safety and parameters of hearing protectors
- CE – marking confirming the product's compliance with the relevant requirements of the European Union
