Review summary

Automatically prepared based on reviews

Reviews of this retractor are mostly positive, although some users raise clear concerns about durability. Buyers praise the sturdy steel cable, long reach, strong magnet, and solid carabiner, which make it useful for keys, ID badges, access cards, and small accessories. Many users describe it as well made, practical, and convenient for everyday use. Some reviewers note drawbacks such as noticeable weight, a plastic housing, and the lack of a locking mechanism on the carabiner. The main criticism involves units that failed quickly, including broken springs, fraying cable, poor retraction, and magnets coming loose. Overall, it works well for light to moderate use, but long-term durability appears inconsistent under heavy daily use.

At the moment, the crank works without any problems. The build quality seems quite solid. I do not intend to put it under any particularly heavy load, but only time will tell how it copes with extending and retracting.

Cheap Chinese quality. The product broke after only two days from purchase. The cable sheath is peeling away from the steel wire, the spring snapped, and the cord stopped retracting. On the plus side, the carabiner and magnet are decent.

Decent product. Great addition to a backpack or belt, strong magnet - you can feel the resistance. The size of the retractor is perfect so it doesn't get in the way when moving. I bought this version and a cheaper model without a magnet, and I recommend both.

Chinese goods are not worth their price. For 30 PLN it might be acceptable, but not for 60. The retractor attached to the tool belt lasted only 5 days of work. Maybe it will do for less demanding uses, but definitely not for frequent winding and unwinding. On the plus side, the magnet and the good quality carabiner.

The retractable holder is of high quality, the cord is very long and sturdy. A plus is the magnet, which additionally secures the ring where you can hang, for example, a handcuff key. Overall impression: a solid product at a good price.

This is already my third Retractor. Unfortunately, I destroyed the first one by snapping the cord because I made a turn near the locker too quickly. I bought the next one for myself and for my son. Very good product. Steel cable, the magnet can hold quite a large number of keys.

A very nice gadget, I use it together with a magnetic card to open doors. So far, it's been working great, although a few times the magnet came out of its place. I recommend it.

A good and sturdy carabiner. The cable is metal and covered with a rubber coating. It retracts well even under load. Additionally, at the beginning of the cable, there is a strong magnet that prevents the cable from unwinding when you have heavy keys or other items attached. A small downside is the plastic casing.

The retriever's cord is long and flexible, making it easy to maneuver items attached to it. The casing is solid, and so is the cord. So far, I have no complaints.

I am moderately satisfied. The retractor is heavy and not very handy for everyday use. It has a good clip and a secure carabiner, but the weight makes it unsuitable to carry with a larger number of keys or a heavier gadget. On the downside, the magnet fell out of the retractor and now every time the cord is pulled out, it comes out with the retractor. I will make a complaint and will not buy again.

The retractor lasted a whole 3 weeks during daily use. The cord frayed, which made it impossible to retract it inside. Plus for the magnet that holds the ring at the retractor.

An excellent device. Five stars for appearance, practicality, and quality—I hope that in time it will remain great. It looks very promising and solid. I even bought a second one. The cord so far works at perfect tension and the real marvel is the magnet. It even holds my satellite phone inReach mini 2. Still, it is worth securing it with something else as it's not a small expense. The Badger Outdoor BO-RTR-X5 retractor will be especially useful while climbing. You can easily clip an ordinary phone or drone controller to a vertical wall or in the treetops without worrying that something will fall out. Greetings to the Militaria.pl team :-)

Great thing. Perfect for an ID badge at work. You don't have to stuff your pockets, just clip it to a belt loop and you're set. It looks very solid and is really well made. Highly recommended.

It holds keys and other items that you want to secure very tightly. The magnet is a plus, because in a cheaper model without a magnet, when it took on more weight the cord started to slip and everything was flying around.

A very solid retractor. Large STEEL carabiner. It could have a lock, but it's not a disaster. The ring also has a carabiner. Very strong magnet. Very sturdy equipment. The steel cord is long and durable.
