Good build quality, waterproof, nice display and nice appearance. Quite large. Not very handy, slightly too thick, a bit heavy. But overall parameters are ok.

Baofeng UV-17E Two-Way Radio 5W - Orange
Baofeng UV-17E 5W is a handheld radio with a maximum output of 5 watts. It is equipped with a DMTF keypad, a dual LCD display, a flashlight and FM radio. The radio features a 7.4 V lithium-ion rechargeable battery with a capacity of 1800 mAh charged via a USB-C port.
Dual-channel monitoring, Kenwood K1 connector
A characteristic feature of the radio is Dual Watch, which means monitoring two channels. This allows you to monitor two different frequencies - priority is given to the frequency on which an incoming call appears. The radio is fitted with a Kenwood K1 type connector, which allows headphones with a microphone (included), a dedicated speaker microphone or shooting hearing protectors to be connected to the Baofeng.
99 channels, range up to 10 km, IP54 protection rating
It has 99 channels, so the conversation will not be interfered with by other radio users. Under favourable conditions, in open terrain, the range is up to 10 km. Communication is improved by an automatic squelch system and an end-of-transmission signal. The radio meets the IP54 standard - it provides complete protection against dust ingress and against splashes and light rain falling from any direction.
programmable, VOX function
The radio can be programmed from the keypad or from a computer via a USB cable. In addition, the software is equipped with many functions that facilitate grouping and identification. The VOX function allows transmission to be activated by voice, without the need to press the PTT button.

The Baofeng brand has been well-known and reliable to me for years. According to some reviews, this model is supposedly large, and indeed, it is much bigger than the UV 5R model, but the shape of the radio is quite comfortable to hold. For me, a big plus is the ability to charge the battery via a USB type C port. The flashlight isn't anything special, but it's there and works well enough.

Baofeng is well made, the flashlight is quite bright, lots of menu options, the clip holds well, the display is nice. Nothing to add or take away, it's a cool device and I definitely recommend it. The only small downside is that it's a bit bulky, but other than that, it's good.

For build quality, water resistance, USB-C charging, nice display, and generally cool design. On the downside, the dimensions. Not very handy, a bit too thick.
