Baofeng UV-5R EU Mini 1600 mAh Radio - Gray
The Baofeng UV-5R EU Mini delivers robust handheld communication as a dual-band transceiver, providing up to 5 W of output power. Outfitted with a DTMF keypad, LCD screen, headlamp, and FM radio, the unit ensures reliable field operation. Power is supplied by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1600 mAh and features a USB-C charging port.
Dual Watch function, Bluetooth module, VOX function
The Baofeng UV-5R EU Mini transceiver features a Dual Watch capability, enabling users to listen to two channels at once. Operators can transmit on the primary frequency while keeping track of a secondary frequency. Channel switching is accomplished through a dedicated button.
A color display, headlamp, and FM radio are included to enhance usability during field operations. For added convenience, a keypad lock is also provided.
Programming the transceiver is possible directly from the keypad, via computer, or with a specialized Bluetooth application. The integrated Bluetooth module allows for wireless configuration and easy adjustment of settings through a smartphone, streamlining the user experience.
With the VOX function, voice-activated transmission is possible, eliminating the need to press the PTT button and greatly simplifying hands-free communication.
CTCSS and DCS Tones
The CTCSS and DCS tone systems function in both normal and invert modes. These technologies screen out undesired signals, enabling the radio to receive only transmissions that carry the correct tone or code, which ensures secure communication and minimizes interference.

-
Good value for the price. The range in open areas is very decent, and the configuration—although it takes a moment—offers plenty of options. It works well in the field and on trips.
-
For its size, the radio works really well. The range is satisfactory, operation is simple, and the battery easily lasts for extended use.
-
Small, lightweight, and surprisingly functional. It performs well in the field, and the distinctive color makes it easy to quickly find the equipment. Big plus for the possibility of charging via USB-C, so you don't have to carry an extra charger.
-
The radio is limited to frequencies of 144, 146, 380, and 400 MHz. It cannot transmit outside of these bands, nor can it be unlocked. It does not support transmission on PMR and commercial frequencies, which we use at work.
