The shoes have been tested intensively in various weather conditions for 8 months. Very comfortable, lightweight, and well-fitted to the foot. They look good and are not bulky. The insole with adjustment is very good. Durable side zipper... wonderful. At this moment I have no complaints. Very good shoes.
Bates Delta-8 Boots - Black
Black tactical boots engineered with advanced, field-tested technology. The high upper features a blend of premium natural leather and robust Ballistic Nylon materials. The design is in accordance with the European standard EN ISO 20347.
non-slip sole with deep tread and ladder grip
Secure footing across diverse terrains is ensured by the non-slip sole, engineered to be resistant to oils and acids. Outfitted with a deep, self-cleaning tread and ladder grip, paired with optimal contouring, the design delivers exceptional traction on a variety of surfaces.
Specialized materials integrated into the sole provide excellent slip resistance, with performance validated by the SATRA WTM 144 test. Additional reinforcements at the toe and heel zones offer reliable protection against impacts.
ICS insole, Enforcer Series Ultra-Lites technology
Offering advanced design, the model incorporates the innovative iCS insole (Individual Comfort System), enhanced with strategically positioned gel inserts at the forefoot and heel. This setup enables customizable hardness and allows the boots to adapt to various terrain types encountered during use. Utilization of the specialized Enforcer Series Ultra-Lites footwear technology, developed by Bates, brings the weight of a single boot to just 703 grams.
Quick lacing, ykk zippers, no metal parts
Each boot features seven pairs of reinforced eyelets crafted from robust materials. For enhanced comfort and ease of use—especially for rapid donning and optimal airflow—a side YKK zipper is incorporated.
The design includes no metal elements, making these boots ideal for professionals operating in locations such as airports or in areas with magnetic screening gateways.

YKK zippers are high-quality zippers commonly used in clothing and accessories, manufactured by the Japanese YKK Corporation - one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers.
iCS is an insole equipped with a system that allows you to individually adjust the hardness of the shoe depending on the type of terrain and the lateral angle of the foot, improving movement parameters. The system is based on cushioning gel inserts located in the forefoot and under the heel. The insole has four main settings: Firm, Cushion (maximum cushioning), Inward (reduced internal slope), Outward (reduced external slope) and four intermediate zones.
Ballistic Nylon is characterized by strength, abrasion, tear and cut resistance. In addition, it is distinguished by its high water resistance and resistance to extreme temperatures and UV rays. It is widely used in tactical clothing and footwear, as well as in touring gear and equipment.
EN ISO 20347:2012 is an international standard that specifies requirements for professional footwear for professional use. Footwear meeting this standard provides foot protection in the form of anti-slip, anti-static, shock-absorbing properties and resistance to oily and petroleum-based substances, but does not have to be equipped with a protective toecap. ISO certification confirms that the manufacturer meets certain standards for personal protective equipment.

The boots are super comfortable and highly recommended, huge plus for the durable zipper. I've been testing them in various weather conditions for two years and can’t say a bad word about them. Rating: 5/5

Very good and comfortable shoes. The only downside is durability. After a year (300-400km) the seams came apart. It's probably not the user's fault. Fortunately, I got a new pair. We'll see how long these last.

The boots are sturdy and very well made. Tested in various weather conditions and they perform without any problems. They look much better in person than in photos. I recommend these durable boots at this price.

It's been 5 years and I'm still using them in light mud and snow. Now they are my work boots, but for the price, they're well made, and a little maintenance will increase their lifespan. 5/5 The zipper is very convenient, big plus here.

Delta 8 ZIP are the best-looking tactical boots. They are extremely light and comfortable – it took about 2 weeks for my feet to get used to them. After a year and a half, the heels wore out and the gel plugs cracked. I wrote to the Polish distributor of Bates for an ICS replacement, but was ignored. A cobbler sewed reinforcements inside and my brother and I filled the plugs with silicone. Additionally, I put Sulpo insoles in due to heel spur pain. Now the boots are more comfortable than new. I hope they last a few more years.

After less than a month of use, definitely a plus! The comfort of wearing is incomparable to others. For the first few days they had to adjust to my feet, but later they 'walk by themselves'. The ability to regulate the insole's firmness is a huge advantage for adapting to different terrains. Time will tell how long they'll last, but for now I'm positive. Highly recommended!

The sizing is specific. Boots in my size are good in width and a bit too long, and in size down they are right in length but a bit too tight. My typical size works well with double socks. So far the boots have been on one longer trip through low mountains, easy and wet terrain – about 17 km. I'm a bit concerned about the quality. The insole, made of several elements, delaminated already during this first outing. The layer that separated is under the main insole, so it doesn't affect comfort except that each time you remove and reinsert the parts you have to match them up. I haven't tested the softness adjustment feature. Between the leather and the sole, on the bends, small cracks appeared in a few places. I hope they don't get bigger, but I'll let you know in some time. Aside from these remarks, the boots are very comfortable. The trip ended with no blisters or surprises, even though I didn't break the boots in before. Ventilation during normal walking is sufficient—my feet didn't sweat, even though I’m prone to it. The leather isn't of extraordinary quality, but I like how, despite deformations during the trip, it returned to its original shape after cleaning and conditioning and letting them rest for a day. If it weren't for the small cracks, mentioned above, they'd look like new. Special mention goes to the zipper, which is super convenient. Overall, I rate the boots very well for comfort and adequately for quality. For now, 4 stars. I'll try to give further feedback after longer usage.

This zipper is a genius feature!! The boots are comfortable, worn for every shift, and most importantly, they're light. Highly recommended.
-
The boots are very comfortable, very well made, perfect for everyday use. The insole is interesting and works very well, although the range of adjustment is a bit exaggerated :) but it's comfortable. The zipper makes putting them on much easier, and once you buy such boots, you'll never want lace-up boots again. Overall 5 out of 5. I've worn quite a few tactical boots in my life.

These boots are brilliant. I truly love them. For the mountains and the outdoors. The sole is anti-slip. Comfortable, waterproof. Although too warm for the summer. Perfect for autumn and spring seasons.
-
The boots are very comfortable, I ordered size 39 (normally I wear 38-39) and they are a bit bigger - perfect size. I recommend 10/10.
-
After three months of use, I can say the boots are excellent, light, and the zipper is a great solution. I recommend them.

The boots are okay.
