Its structure is built on reinforced walls and an internal frame, which gives the backpack its distinctive boxy shape and allows for complete opening when the zip is undone. The backpack is made from 500D double Rip-Stop polyamide, which provides excellent resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The double Rip-Stop weave strengthens the fabric’s structure, minimising the risk of tearing even during intensive use in challenging conditions. The chosen fabric is not only lightweight, but also resistant to moisture and dirt.

The main compartment is secured with a zipper that allows it to be opened wide, providing easy access to your gear. The interior is lined with velcro panels, so you can organise your kit modularly and add compatible pouches or accessories. The boxy design of the compartment prevents sagging and makes managing your equipment easier. For added security, an RFID layer is integrated between the outer fabric and lining (excluding the front pocket). This technology reduces the chance of unauthorised scanning of contactless cards. The backpack features a front zip pocket, offering a dedicated space for small essentials. The Pugio 20 model also includes two large zipped side pockets and an elastic phone pocket on the shoulder strap for fast access to your device. Inside the main compartment, there’s also a sewn-in carabiner for attaching a hydration system water tank.

The front of the backpack is fitted with elastic shock cords to secure light loads carried externally. The front velcro panel allows you to add any patches or emblems.

The backpack’s carrying system uses ergonomic adjustable shoulder straps, letting you tailor the fit and evenly distribute weight. The straps are designed for stability and comfort, keeping the pack secure during movement. A padded back panel adds cushioning and comfort, especially over extended wear. The integrated nylon internal frame reinforces the backpack and preserves its boxy profile. The frame keeps your load stable regardless of how fully it’s packed and helps support heavier gear. Additional stability comes from the backpack’s reinforced and stiffened walls and a height-adjustable sternum strap with a composite buckle. There’s also a carry handle at the top of the pack.
