Bestech Knives Ascot Folding Knife - Wood/Black Blade

A lightweight and compact folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife. The Drop-Point blade is made of high-quality 14C28N stainless steel, which provides excellent cutting performance. The blade is finished with a protective Black Titanized coating, giving it a matte finish.

stainless steel 14C28N and protective coating

The knife blade is made of 14C28N stainless steel, developed by the Swedish company Sandvik. The chemical composition of the steel has been optimized to achieve high hardness. The appropriate nitrogen content ensures corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. Carbon contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation.

The Black Titanized coating gives the blade a matte finish, reduces glare, and enhances the knife’s aesthetics. Thanks to its durability, it extends the blade’s service life and facilitates maintenance without negatively affecting cutting performance.

blade with drop-point profile

This model features a 97 mm Drop-Point blade, characterized by a slightly curved spine and a distinctly pointed tip, ensuring full control over the blade during cutting. This design is ideal for both everyday and outdoor use, combining durability with precision.

Liner Lock, flipper

The knife opens smoothly and effortlessly thanks to ceramic ball bearings and a flipper, which also serves as a small cross guard when the knife is open. A sturdy Liner Lock secures the blade in the open position.

ergonomic handle and spring-loaded clip

The handle is made from a combination of G10 laminate and carbon fiber and features an insert of light-colored wood, which gives the knife a unique look. The non-slip texture of the handle ensures a secure grip in all conditions.

A spring-loaded, steel tip-up clip allows the knife to be clipped to a belt, the edge of a pocket, or other selected gear.

14C28N feature
14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Carbon Fiber feature
Carbon Fiber
Carbon fiber is a composite material that is exceptionally light and very strong, considered one of the most advanced materials used in knife manufacturing. It is made of thin carbon fibers embedded in epoxy resin, which are then pressed and hardened to form an extremely rigid and resistant structure. Used in knife handles, it provides high resistance to mechanical damage, is not affected by moisture or extreme temperatures, and is chemically inert and non-conductive. It is distinguished by its characteristic layered weave, which gives each handle a unique appearance, particularly valued in premium knives.
Titanized (bestech) feature
Titanized (bestech)
Titanized in Bestech knives is a protective coating applied using the PVD method, which uses titanium compounds such as titanium nitride (TiN) or titanium oxide (TiO2). This process takes place in a vacuum and produces a thin, extremely hard layer with high resistance to abrasion and corrosion. The coating gives the blade a matte finish, reduces reflections, and emphasizes the aesthetics of the knife. It is also available in various colors. Thanks to its durability, it extends the life of the blade and facilitates its maintenance without negatively affecting its cutting properties.
