Polish project

Grzegorz "Kombou" Grabarski stands out as a prominent Polish knife designer whose innovative concepts are fueled by influences from pop culture, video games, nature, and biomechanics. Fusing contemporary aesthetics with futuristic, organic shapes, he has formed partnerships with the Brrr... Knives brand, and currently, his creations, produced with Bestech Knives, have earned worldwide acclaim among knife collectors.

14C28N stainless steel

Forged from 14C28N stainless steel, the blade offers superior corrosion resistance, exceptional edge retention, easy sharpening, and excellent resistance to chipping.

Drop-Point blade, flat grind

Featuring a Drop-Point profile, the blade is crafted from 14C28N stainless steel. Measuring 88.2 mm in length with a thickness of 3.5 mm, the blade has a flat grind edge that delivers excellent cutting performance. Enhanced with a black PVD coating, the finish minimizes reflections and helps hide light scratches.

thumb stud, ceramic ball bearings, Crossbar Lock

Deployment of the knife is achieved via a thumb stud, providing effortless one-handed access. The action benefits from a ceramic ball bearing integrated into the blade pivot. A sliding Crossbar Lock mechanism secures the blade in place.

G10 scales, steel clip

The ergonomically contoured handle features scales crafted from robust G10 laminate, which offers exceptional resistance to mechanical wear and environmental influences. The textured, non-slip surface guarantees a secure and reliable hold while in use.

A spring, steel clip positioned for tip-up carry ensures convenient, everyday portability and allows the knife to be easily secured to a belt or the edge of a pocket. The clip is reversible, enabling attachment on either the right or left side.

14C28N feature
14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
Crossbar Lock feature
Crossbar Lock
Crossbar Lock is the general name of the mechanism used after the Benchmade patent expired in 2018. The design works on the same principle as the Axis Lock - a spring bar moves along the handle and locks the blade in the open position. The differences between manufacturers mainly concern the details of workmanship, materials, and the shape of the switches. The lock is double-sided, easy to use, and extremely popular in modern EDC knives. Thanks to its versatility, it has become the standard for many companies.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition feature
PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating is a modern technology for applying ultra-thin layers of metal in a vacuum, which significantly increases the durability of knives. Thanks to this, the blade becomes highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion, while gaining a matte surface that reduces glare. This process allows for aesthetic finishes in various colors, from deep black to gold, which do not wear off like classic paint. As a result, the knife retains its great appearance and full functionality even with intensive use.
