Very interesting, unique shapes of both the blade and the handle. Surprisingly quite practical once you put it to work. High quality craftsmanship, as usual from this manufacturer.
Bestech Knives Nogard folding knife by Grzegorz "Kombou" Grabarski - Bronze Titanium/Natural Micarta Canvas
Folding multi-purpose knife featuring a blade with a Modified Sheepfoot profile. The Nogard model is a creation of renowned Polish knife designer Grzegorz "Kombou" Grabarski.
The blade is crafted from powder metallurgy M390 stainless steel, known for its exceptional resistance to wear and corrosion. Achieving a hardness of 58-60 HRC, the blade is ground flat and finished with a matte black coating. The undercut, non-sharpened ricasso provides a safe spot for the finger when using the flipper. Jimping along the spine at the thumb rest enhances grip and control during precise work.
Deployment of the knife is achieved via a flipper or, alternatively, an oval thumb hole. Secure blade lockup is ensured by a robust Frame Lock mechanism. For rapid and smooth opening, a ceramic ball bearing is integrated into the pivot.
The ergonomically contoured handle scales are constructed from titanium, complemented by an inlay of Micarta, a composite material made from fabric and epoxy resin. A resilient, spring-loaded pocket clip in the tip-up/r configuration provides convenient and secure carry.
