Bestech Knives Ornetta by Grzegorz "Kombou" Grabarski Folding Knife - Black/White

A folding knife with an aggressive design intended for everyday carry (EDC). The slender Drop-Point blade is made of N690 tool steel, which is characterized by high corrosion resistance and long-lasting edge retention. The smooth blade features a flat grind and is finished with the Blackwash method. The black-and-white handle is made of G10 laminate with a non-slip texture. The knife opens via a flipper, and the Liner Lock ensures safe use.

The knife was designed by Polish knifemaker, Grzegorz “Kombou” Grabarski.

Polish project

Grzegorz “Kombou” Grabarski is a well-known Polish knife designer who draws inspiration from pop culture, video games, nature, and biomechanics, combining modern design with futuristic, organic forms. He has collaborated with the Brrr… Knives brand, and his designs are currently produced in collaboration with Bestech Knives and have gained international recognition among collectors.

N690 tool steel

The blade is made of high-quality Böhler N690 stainless steel, valued for its excellent balance of performance characteristics. It is characterized by high corrosion resistance, good cutting properties, and edge retention. Thanks to the addition of cobalt, the steel achieves greater uniformity and structural stability. After heat treatment, it achieves a hardness of 58–61 HRC.

drop-point blade with blackwash finish, jimping

The blade, with a Drop-Point profile, is 90 mm long and has a thickness of 3.5 mm. It features a smooth cutting edge achieved through flat grinding. The blade is finished using the Blackwash method, which creates a matte, uniform texture on the blade’s surface. This results in better camouflage and resistance to minor scratches during use. On the spine of the blade, where the thumb rests, there is jimping to make the tool easier to handle.

non-slip G10 laminate handle, stainless steel clip

The ergonomic handle consists of two scales secured to the framework with screws. The use of G10 laminate in their construction makes the knife lightweight and durable, while the textured surface and contoured finger grooves ensure a secure grip, even when your hands are dirty or wet.

The knife is easy to carry thanks to a spring-loaded steel clip, which allows you to attach it to a belt, the edge of a pocket, or another piece of gear. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for a cord or lanyard.

Liner Lock, flipper and thumb hole

The blade is opened using a flipper, which, when open, acts as a small cross guard that prevents the fingers from sliding onto the blade or into the thumb hole. The opening mechanism itself has been improved by incorporating a ball bearing into the knife’s main axis. When open, the blade is locked in place by a Liner Lock.

N690 feature
N690
N690 is a high-quality stainless steel produced by the Austrian company Bohler Edelstahl, characterized by an excellent balance of functional properties. It is comparable to VG-10 steel, but offers even better parameters. It contains approximately 1% carbon, which ensures high hardness, and 17.3% chromium, which guarantees very good corrosion resistance. In addition, it contains cobalt (1.5%), molybdenum (1.1%) and vanadium (0.1%). After proper hardening, it achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, providing the right combination of strength, durability, and ease of sharpening. The steel is distinguished by its high corrosion resistance, even in difficult, humid conditions, and good resistance to dulling. N690 is used in the production of knives of various ranges, both lower and higher, offering very good value for money.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Blackwash feature
Blackwash
Blackwash is a finish that combines oxidation (graphite-black shade of steel) with the Stonewash technique. The blade is first coated with black and then treated in a drum with abrasive. This creates an aging effect - a dark background with lighter abrasions and micro-scratches. This gives the knife a raw, “used” look, masks scratches well, reduces light reflections, and works well in tactical knives. Thanks to its combination of practicality and aesthetics, Blackwash is popular in EDC, outdoor, and combat knives.

Very beautiful and good knife. Quite light and well balanced, sharp out of the box and opens smoothly. The one thing is the clip is stiff and it's hard to take it out of your pants after attaching it to the clip, but apart from that it's great.

Very beautiful knife. It comes very sharp, I have already cut myself with it. The lock is a bit stiff. You really need to use force to open it. Despite that, I recommend it.

A relatively lightweight knife, the mechanism works perfectly. It comes nicely sharpened, you can even shave with it. It fits well in the hand and in the pocket. At the promotional price, it is really attractive. I recommend it.

This knife has great build quality without any flaws, fits perfectly in the hand, opens smoothly and easily, and closes even better with a distinct click. The steel clip is elegant and matches the whole design. Very original, and the color is amazing. I recommend it.

This is my second purchase from this company. I highly recommend it because it is worth its price, the colors are top-notch and the quality of workmanship is very high. It is a functional, lightweight accessory for your pocket.

Bigger and heavier than it looks in the pictures. Needs a bit of breaking in, but looks like a solid knife for years. Beautiful appearance. Plus for two opening methods.

This knife clicks and opens better than those for 2,000, I don't know how they did it. Simply outclassing competitors in every aspect. Just shocking. On the downside, you can cut yourself when closing and it's a bit hard to press the "flipper," but then it's magic.

Very sharp, easy to cut yourself when closing if you’re not careful, beautiful design, perfect size because it's handy but you won’t run out of blade for use, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good EDC knife.

Easy to open, blade runs on ceramic bearings so it would be strange if it was any different. Very sharp. My rating: 9/10.

A phenomenal knife. Large, massive blade, factory sharp as a razor. The knife itself is excellently made and fitted together. Additionally, a beautiful handle in a white color that matches the black blade for a nice contrast. The mechanics and smoothness of operation are flawless; everything works perfectly. Only the clip could be double-sided. I recommend it!

Beautiful knife, great mechanics. Size is just right— not too small, still handy. The only thing worth noting is that it sticks out a lot from the pocket— long and sharply ended back combined with the clip gives that effect. Absolutely worth recommending.
