D2 tool steel
The blade on the Sheepfoot knife is crafted from high-carbon D2 tool steel, recognized as semi-stainless for its notable corrosion resistance. Enhanced by vanadium and a substantial level of chromium, the blade demonstrates exceptional abrasion resistance, ensuring prolonged edge retention. With a hardness rating of 58-61 HRC, the steel offers increased durability and resistance to wear. A satin finish lends the blade a semi-matte appearance while reducing unwanted reflections.
G10 laminate handle and spring clip
Featuring a contoured, ergonomic handle crafted from G10 laminate, this material stands out for its exceptional resistance to damage and various weather conditions. A lanyard hole is located at the end of the handle for easy attachment. Grip panels offer a non-slip texture, while an index finger groove with added jimping provides a reliable and secure hold. Outfitted with a spring-mounted steel clip, the knife enables convenient pocket carry in a tip-up orientation.
Liner lock
