D2 tool steel
The blade of the Sheepfoot knife is crafted from high-carbon D2 tool steel, a material known as semi-stainless for its notable corrosion resistance. Enhanced by vanadium and elevated chromium content, the blade offers exceptional abrasion resistance for prolonged edge retention. Hardened to 58-61 HRC, the steel delivers superior hardness and durability against wear. Featuring a satin finish, the blade achieves a semi-matte appearance that effectively reduces reflective glare.
G10 laminate handle and spring clip
Featuring a contoured, ergonomic handle crafted from G10 laminate, this model offers exceptional resistance to wear and adverse weather. A lanyard hole at the end of the handle allows for easy attachment. Enhanced grip security is provided by the non-slip textured scales and a finger choil with jimping. Outfitted with a steel pocket clip on a spring mechanism, the knife can be carried in the pocket in the tip-up orientation.
Liner lock
Opening the blade is accomplished with a flipper, enhanced by a ceramic ball bearing integrated into the knife's pivot for a smoother action. The Liner Lock system secures the blade in place during use. Jimping is featured on the spine of the blade, providing a better grip for the thumb and ensuring improved control while working with the tool.
