The handle is constructed from lightweight, weatherproof, and damage-resistant G10 laminate. Safety during use is provided by the Liner Lock mechanism.
D2 Tool steel
The Sheepfoot blade is crafted from high-carbon D2 tool steel, recognized as semi-stainless due to its notable corrosion resistance. Enhanced with vanadium and a substantial amount of chromium, the blade offers exceptional abrasion resistance, maintaining its sharp edge over extended use. With a hardness rating of 58-61 HRC, the steel delivers increased hardness and superior edge retention. A satin finish gives the blade a subtle, semi-matte sheen that minimizes glare.
G10 laminate handle and spring clip
Featuring a contoured, ergonomic handle constructed from G10 laminate, the design offers excellent resistance to both damage and harsh weather. A lanyard attachment hole is integrated at the end of the handle for added versatility. Secure handling is guaranteed by the non-slip textured grips and the index finger groove with serrations. A spring-loaded steel clip enables convenient pocket carry in a tip-up orientation.
Liner lock
Deployment of the blade is achieved via a flipper, with the opening action enhanced by a ceramic ball bearing integrated into the knife’s main pivot. Secure blade retention is provided by a liner lock mechanism. Along the spine, jimping is positioned at the thumb rest to ensure better grip and more precise control during operation.
