Bestechman Cicada's Wing Micarta Folding Knife - OD Green/Satin

Robust folding EDC (Every Day Carry - suitable for daily use) knife featuring an 80 mm Sheepfoot blade crafted from 10Cr15MoV stainless steel. The ergonomic Micarta handle along with a dedicated finger groove ensure a secure and comfortable grip. With its lightweight design and a reliable spring clip, carrying the knife is convenient for everyday tasks as well as outdoor adventures. Secure blade locking is provided by the integrated B-Lock mechanism.

10Cr15MoV stainless steel

Forged from 10Cr15MoV stainless steel, the blade delivers exceptional corrosion resistance, holds its edge well, sharpens with ease, and resists chipping. The steel is hardened to 59 - 61 HRC for optimal durability and performance.

Sheepfoot profile, good cutting properties

Equipped with a Sheepfoot-profile blade, valued for its robust tip, straightforward sharpening, and excellent cutting efficiency. Blade measures 80 mm in length and 2.3 mm in thickness. Features a flat ground edge (Flat Grind). Finished with a satin technique, providing a refined semi-matte appearance.

B-Lock mechanism, thumb stud

A thumb stud allows for quick deployment of the knife, while a ball bearing integrated into the main axis ensures smoother blade opening. The blade remains securely in place when open, thanks to the B-Lock mechanism.

Micarta, finger groove

Handle scales constructed from robust Micarta offer exceptional resistance to moisture, extreme temperatures, and mechanical wear. A non-slip surface delivers a reliable and secure hold during operation. A lanyard hole is featured at the end of the handle for additional carrying options. Secure transport is facilitated by a spring steel deep-carry clip (tip-up, right or left side carry) that enables convenient attachment to a belt or pocket. The clip is designed for installation on either the right or left side.

B-Lock feature
B-Lock
The B-Lock mechanism is Bestech's proprietary solution, inspired by the Axis Lock design. It uses a steel strip that slides in the handle guides to lock the blade pin, and is released by pulling the strip back on both sides of the knife. Thanks to springs, the system works smoothly and can be operated with one hand by both right- and left-handed users.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.
10Cr15MoV (10Cr15) feature
10Cr15MoV (10Cr15)
10Cr15MoV (10Cr15) is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel, developed as an equivalent to Japanese VG10 steel, referred to as “domestic VG10.” It contains approximately 1% carbon and approximately 15% chromium, with the addition of molybdenum and vanadium, which increase wear resistance, cutting edge stability, and aid in grain refinement. The high chromium and molybdenum content provides very good corrosion resistance in kitchen and field environments. After hardening, it achieves a hardness of 59-61 HRC, ensuring good edge retention while maintaining useful impact strength and micro-chip resistance.
