Bestechman Cicada's Wing Micarta Folding Knife - Light Blue/Black PVD

Compact folding EDC (Every Day Carry—ideal for everyday use) knife featuring an 80 mm blade with a Sheepfoot profile, crafted from durable 10Cr15MoV stainless steel. The ergonomic Micarta handle, combined with a dedicated finger groove, ensures a comfortable and secure grip. With its lightweight construction and practical spring clip, the knife offers convenient transport, making it well-suited for both daily tasks and outdoor adventures. Secured by a reliable B-Lock mechanism.

10Cr15MoV stainless steel

The blade is crafted from 10Cr15MoV stainless steel, offering superior corrosion resistance, excellent edge retention, easy sharpening, and strong chip resistance. The steel achieves a hardness level of 59 - 61 HRC.

Sheepfoot profile, good cutting properties

Equipped with a Sheepfoot profile blade, recognized for its robust tip, ease of sharpening, and excellent cutting efficiency. Blade measures 80 mm in length and 2.3 mm in thickness. Flat ground edge (Flat Grind) further enhances cutting capabilities. Additional black PVD coating on the blade boosts corrosion resistance and minimizes light reflection.

B-Lock mechanism, thumb stud

Equipped with a thumb stud, the knife allows for easy blade deployment. A ball bearing integrated into the main axis enhances the blade's opening action. In the open position, the blade is secured by a B-Lock mechanism.

Micarta, finger groove

Rugged Micarta handle scales offer high resistance to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical wear. A textured, non-slip surface guarantees a reliable and steady hold during operation. A lanyard hole is integrated at the butt of the handle for added versatility. Secure transport is provided by a spring steel deep-carry clip (tip-up, right or left carry), designed for effortless attachment to a belt or pocket edge. The clip is reversible for both right and left side mounting.

B-Lock feature
B-Lock
The B-Lock mechanism is Bestech's proprietary solution, inspired by the Axis Lock design. It uses a steel strip that slides in the handle guides to lock the blade pin, and is released by pulling the strip back on both sides of the knife. Thanks to springs, the system works smoothly and can be operated with one hand by both right- and left-handed users.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.
10Cr15MoV (10Cr15) feature
10Cr15MoV (10Cr15)
10Cr15MoV (10Cr15) is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel, developed as an equivalent to Japanese VG10 steel, referred to as “domestic VG10.” It contains approximately 1% carbon and approximately 15% chromium, with the addition of molybdenum and vanadium, which increase wear resistance, cutting edge stability, and aid in grain refinement. The high chromium and molybdenum content provides very good corrosion resistance in kitchen and field environments. After hardening, it achieves a hardness of 59-61 HRC, ensuring good edge retention while maintaining useful impact strength and micro-chip resistance.
