Boker Modern Club Nitro-V Folding Knife - Black

Folding knife with a drop-point blade profile and a length of 73 mm, made from high-quality Nitro-V stainless steel. The design is a streamlined, simplified version of the classic Boker sports knife. The slim build and compact dimensions make it ideal for everyday carry.

The compact form when folded facilitates transport, and the chosen materials provide wear resistance and stability during use. Low weight of just 67 g and an ergonomically shaped handle ensure comfortable use and good control during basic tasks.

high-quality Nitro-V stainless steel

The blade is crafted from premium Nitro-V stainless steel. This modern material was developed by New Jersey Steel Baron in cooperation with the Buderus Steel mill. It is based on AEB-L steel, enriched with nitrogen and vanadium, which significantly improves corrosion resistance, toughness and edge retention. Carbon delivers good hardness, while chromium ensures stainless properties, making the steel resistant to moisture and acidic environments.

drop-point blade, satin finish

This model features a drop-point blade measuring 73 mm, finished with a satin polish. This process involves mechanically refining the blade surface, resulting in parallel micro-scratches that give it a distinctive matte look.

The finish minimizes the visibility of minor scratches from use, while also reducing light reflections on the blade surface.

micarta handle with ergonomic profile

The handle consists of black Micarta scales joined by titanium bolsters, giving the construction strength and stability. Micarta is highly mechanically durable, resistant to impacts, abrasion, changing weather conditions and maintains dimensional stability.

The ergonomic profile combined with a textured surface improves tool control, even during prolonged use. The handle shape is designed to reduce hand fatigue and ensure a secure grip in various working conditions.

liner lock, flipper, ball bearings

The knife opens via a flipper, enabling rapid one-handed deployment. When open, the flipper functions as a small cross guard, effectively protecting the hand from slipping onto the blade. The opening mechanism is enhanced with ball bearings.

Blade stability is maintained by a Liner Lock, which secures the blade in the open position and prevents accidental closure. The mechanism is reliable and user-friendly.

spring clip

This model is equipped with a spring clip allowing comfortable carry in a pocket or on gear, providing quick access to the knife. The clip’s design ensures stable positioning, minimising movement during transit.

Boker is a German knife brand with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo - "Tree Brand." As early as 1830, the company was producing as many as 2,000 sabers per week, which reached European battlefields. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the USA, Canada, and Mexico, creating recognizable branches. Nitro-V feature
Nitro-V
Nitro-V is a modern martensitic stainless steel developed by New Jersey Steel Baron in cooperation with Buderus Steel. It is based on AEB-L steel, enriched with nitrogen (approx. 0.11%) and vanadium (up to 0.1%), which significantly improves corrosion resistance, impact strength, and edge durability. Carbon (0.68%) provides good hardness and chromium (approx. 13%) is responsible for stainlessness, making the steel resistant to moisture and acidic environments. After hardening, Nitro-V achieves a hardness of 58-63 HRC, offering a good combination of cutting aggression, toughness, and ease of re-sharpening. This steel is used in EDC, kitchen, and outdoor knives.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.
