This is my first balisong, so I lack some basis for comparison. However, I was surprised by the quality and how smoothly it flips. So far, I haven't noticed anything that could concern me in any way.
Boker Plus Balisong Training Folding Knife - Red
Training butterfly knife designed for learning opening techniques and performing tricks without the risk of injury. The model is equipped with a blunt blade, making it safe to use for both beginners learning how to handle butterfly knives and more advanced users refining their skills.
The construction is appropriately balanced, which translates to better control during knife rotation and performing dynamic movement sequences. The applied solutions support smoothness of manipulation and facilitate learning proper handle work. Thanks to its training construction, the model allows for the development of technique and coordination without using a sharp cutting edge.
Blunt stainless blade
The blade is made of stainless steel, resistant to corrosion and intensive training use. The blunt blade allows practicing the knife opening and rotating techniques without a sharp cutting edge. The steel surface is finished using the satin finish method, giving the blade a matte appearance and limiting the visibility of minor usage marks.
G10 laminate handle
The steel handle framework is covered with red scales made from G10 laminate. The material is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage, moisture, and daily use. The handle profile supports a firm grip during dynamic movements and trick practice.
Notch lock and steel clip
In the closed and open positions, the knife is secured with a solid notch tang, stabilizing the construction during training and transport. Daily carrying is facilitated by a spring steel clip, allowing the knife to be attached to a pocket or accouterment items.

Very well made and fun to flip. Ideal for anyone who's just starting or is at an intermediate level and doesn't want to invest in high-end balisongs yet.

The knife is well and solidly made and doesn't loosen up (which is most important). I've had several other cheaper butterfly knives and after 10 minutes you had to tighten the screws. This one is definitely better and I have no concerns that suddenly I won't be able to flip it. So in my opinion, it's worth spending a bit more. I highly recommend it.

Good knife, thanks to the lack of a blade you can practice more complicated tricks with it.

The "knife" flips very nicely and is solidly built, but there is one problem: after a few closings, the latch opens by itself. However, since it doesn't have a blade, this isn't such a big flaw. I highly recommend it.

A cool thing if you want to keep your hands occupied, for example at school. Since it doesn't have a blade, there is no chance anyone will complain.
