I bought it online (because of returns) after frustratingly searching through binoculars forums. I was looking for the impossible, i.e., something compact, tourist-friendly, a bit universal, with strong magnification (just for the geek factor, since until now I had a Russian 8x30), and not costing a fortune... It arrived, I picked it up in the evening. According to the opinions, I shouldn't be able to see anything. However – it already surprised me then. Second test in the morning. I'm not returning it! I'm very satisfied. A few remarks, because they're important in my opinion: + the magnification is high + I haven't checked in complete darkness, but dusk in the city is not a problem + it's compact, though you can feel it's half a kilo in weight - but this is still a compact binocular – it magnifies, but for spot observations. Not for landscapes. Fine for me, but if someone wants to watch a panorama of a re-enactment at Grunwald, they won't see the battle scene, just a duel between two knights. On the plus side, you might notice if they have mustaches sticking out from under their visors. - 12x magnification is a challenge for your arms and hands. But doable. I just watched a plane taking off from Okęcie. You can easily see it and keep it in the field of view. But beware – you need a steady grip. Or a support. And because you're only watching a small spot, it may be difficult to find the object in the sky. In conclusion: I'm delighted, because the forums warned that it was a 'Chinese product with a famous brand's label,' and in reality it's not bad at all. Oh, and important: I'm an amateur, a beginner, and I definitely don't know much xD
