Temperature and usage conditions
The operating temperatures of the Carinthia Tropen sleeping bag are specified in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: 9.4 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
- T-limit: 5.1 deg. C - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -7.9 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which survival in the sleeping bag is possible. This is not a value recommended for standard use.
Shelltrans material
The exterior utilizes lightweight, moisture-resistant Shelltrans fabric, which is loosely draped over the inner layer, creating an extra insulation barrier. The lining consists of polyamide that provides minimal liquid absorption and exceptional tear resistance.
G-Loft filling, Thermoflect
The interior of the sleeping bag utilizes lightweight synthetic G-Loft insulation, which effectively preserves thermal comfort in all conditions. The insulation maintains its thermal efficiency even after exposure to moisture, frequent washing, or intensive use. Integrated Thermoflect layer provides additional defense by reflecting and trapping body heat within the sleeping bag.
A trapezoidal foot section is designed to deliver maximum space for the legs while enhancing heat retention.

Left-side zipper, Anti Snag system
Equipped with a two-way zipper on the left side, the sleeping bag allows for complete opening. The Anti Snag system effectively prevents the material from catching in the zipper. A Velcro flap at the top secures the zipper, keeping it closed while you sleep.
Integrated hood and mosquito net
The integrated hood significantly improves thermal insulation by enclosing the head and minimizing heat loss even in low temperatures. Its contoured design also offers reliable protection against wind and moisture. A built-in mosquito net is secured to the front flap and can be zipped around the hood to ensure complete coverage.
