The magnifier is OK. It's useful for occasionally enlarging text with fine print, but not when it's too small, because the offered magnification is only about 1.5x, for example on documents, invoices, or bills. The version I received has, instead of a blue line, a yellow stripe about 5mm wide across the entire width, which helps to capture the whole line of text. A bit of backlighting would be useful.
