Astro Fi 102 is a Maksutov telescope equipped with a 102 mm aperture and a 1325 mm focal length. Providing a maximum magnification of 153x, the instrument is perfectly suited for detailed observation of the Moon's terrain and the planets of the Solar System.
Operation is accomplished via an app that can be installed on any tablet or smartphone. The telescope will automatically orient itself to the object selected in the app and continuously track it. Astro Fi connects straight to your smartphone, without needing any external Wi-Fi source. For manual targeting, the integrated Red Dot finder assists in aligning the telescope with the chosen celestial object.
Maksutov telescopes offer significantly lower coma, astigmatism, and chromatic aberration in comparison with Cassegrain-type systems. The main distinction between Maksutov and Schmidt models is the meniscus corrector—a negative meniscus lens crafted from crown glass—which replaces the Schmidt corrector plate.
