A meticulously crafted and fully operational reproduction of a late 18th-century cavalry sabre. The professionally tempered blade, made from 1055 spring steel, offers the perfect tool for practicing cutting force and precision, and is robust enough for contact fencing engagements. Represents an outstanding blend of collectible display and functional sharpened weaponry.

The Cold Steel 1796 Light Cavalry sabre boasts excellent balance—the blade measures over 7 mm thick only at the base near the hilt and gradually narrows toward the point. Thanks to its comparatively light overall weight, the sabre facilitates agile and rapid fencing movements, reducing the risk of overexerting the wrist or elbow.

Supplied with a leather scabbard featuring steel fittings.

NOTE! Before practicing sparring drills with a partner, the blade must be blunted, as strikes delivered with the factory-sharpened Light Cavalry sabre could cause serious injury or even be fatal.

The sabre was ordered on 22.03 and the courier brought it on 25.03. Surprisingly light and sharp. Unfortunately, my piece had corrosion on the false edge. I filled out a complaint form and I have to send it back. It's a pity, because apart from that it makes a good impression.

I would like, as other commenters, to see more offers of this type. The price is very affordable. As for the saber, it is beautiful, although it is a Western work, a fact—it's a replica made in India. Very good quality, good balance, the handle is a bit too thick and large, but it still fits well in my small hand. Well protected with grease, and also comes with a certificate of durability for bending and edge and flat impacts. At this price, I recommend it; I only regret that the handle is not detachable, but that's just the type of pommel.

Interesting, well-balanced, though heavy at about 960 g. Good craftsmanship, great attention to detail, about 3/4 of the blade is sharpened - as required by regulations. It's a shame there aren’t more offers of this type.

Beautifully crafted replica of the legendary saber. Bought as a gift, it was a hit—the recipient was delighted. High quality workmanship and solid materials. Fast shipping, I recommend it.

Quite heavy and badly balanced. It's awkward to swing. It is slightly sharpened, so it's not suitable for fencing. Only for the wall... What a pity.

I recommend it, perfect for reenactments

An excellent saber for powerful cuts—you can immediately recognize its cavalry lineage. Solid workmanship, though it could be sharpened a little better.

An expensive saber that should only be owned by professionals. This saber can inflict (when sharpened) significant external wounds. I RECOMMEND
