Great knife. Top-quality workmanship, I can't say a bad word. The knife is very sharp and sturdy. I am very satisfied with the purchase and can honestly recommend it. I also recommend other Cold Steel knives.
Cold Steel Drop Forged Hunter 52100 High Carbon Fixed Blade Knife - Grey
Survival knife with a Drop-Point blade, whose design is inspired by a hunting knife designed by Michel Achez, a French knife maker. The knife is made entirely of 52100 high-carbon steel, which is known for its strength and resistance to chipping. The blade is coated with a Teflon coating, giving it a matte finish. The set includes a Secure-Ex sheath, which allows for comfortable, everyday carry.
52100 high carbon steel
The knife is made of 52100 high-carbon steel, which is resistant to chipping and relatively resistant to abrasion. Although it is not a stainless steel and requires proper care and surface protection, its cutting properties and high wear resistance make it one of the best materials among classic carbon steels.
smooth drop-point blade
The blade, with a Drop-Point profile, is 102 mm long and 5 mm thick. It features a smooth cutting edge finished with a high-flat grind. To protect against corrosion, the entire knife is coated with a gray Teflon coating, which also prevents glare.
steel handle
The steel handle is contoured to minimize the risk of your hand slipping toward the cutting edge. There is a hole at the end of the handle through which you can thread a cord or lanyard.
Secure-Ex sheath
The sheath included with the knife in the Secure-Ex system is made of a lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant material. The sheath holds the knife securely in place thanks to a custom-fit opening and a snap-fastened loop, which prevents it from accidentally falling out. The loop allows for attachment to a belt, and numerous holes and grommets enable multi-position attachment to a belt or other pieces of gear.

Super powerful knife. It is indestructible thanks to its one-piece construction. The thick blade makes it almost an axe among knives. I modified mine by covering the handle with rubber and then putting it into a heated heat-shrink tube, which significantly improves grip. It has been with me on 25 forest trips and never let me down.

A piece of railroad track, due to its design, the knife can be used as a throwing knife. After wrapping it with paracord, it gains character, fits well in a large hand, and the handle is sufficient for use with gloves. I tightened the strap screws and the knife now clearly clicks into the sheath. 10cm of cutting edge is absolutely enough for me, great steel for good money.

The knife fits SUPER well in the hand, the plastic sheath doesn't hold too tight—I guess it's for protecting the coating.
-
I received the knife as a gift. A solid piece of steel. Factory edge is very sharp. The sheath holds securely. Using it is pure pleasure. Compared to other Cold Steel models, a very compact knife. I recommend it.

Ok

The knife, thanks to its well-shaped blade, is easy to sharpen, the steel is hard and maintains sharpness well, and as the previous reviewer already mentioned, nothing here can break, and you really have to try hard to destroy this knife.

After a few days of use—I confirm what I wrote before. The sharpness is phenomenal. The 52100 carbon steel is perfect for the knife’s intended purposes. It fits securely in the hand despite the lack of handle scales. If that bothers you, there is a solution—paracord or even better, tennis racket tape. In the photo, 6th from the left.

The Hunter comes factory-sharp as a razor. Painfully minimalistic. Nothing here can break. Whoever knows what it's for will be delighted. It slices meat and separates skin like crazy. 'Little maniac.' This CS series is a success.

Nothing to add, nothing to take away. A minimalist hunting knife. Indestructible. Price/quality 5/5. Phenomenally sharp out of the box.
