A single-edged saber modeled after 17th-century melee weapons. Featuring a basket hilt, this sword was a standard armament for cavalry and dragoon officers during the era of the English Civil War.

Forged from hardened 1055 carbon steel, the sharpened blade features a double fuller. Outstanding balance enables swift and precise handling.

The saber’s point of balance lies 9 cm from the cross guard, and the low overall weight makes it ideal for dynamic fencing maneuvers while minimizing fatigue or strain on the wrist and elbow.

A handle wrapped in leather and wire ensures a secure grip, complemented by a cross guard that transitions into a protective basket formed by bars joined to the pommel.

Accompanied by a black leather scabbard adorned with a steel upper fitting for belt suspension and finished with a steel chape.

Review for model:

Sword delivers on all parameters as described. For an amateur, it seems surprisingly light and well balanced, easy to handle. As a consultant on auctions I have a couple of 17th centurty fencing manuals lying around and I've gone through a few of the drills for shit and giggles. Sword seems to respond very well to the basic drills at least. Its not a very glamourous or spectacular piece. No high shine or lavish decorations. But a proper fencing tool. I rather like that.

I made the purchase and I am pleasantly surprised by the parameters for 1055 carbon steel; it's well sharpened, well balanced, and you can really perform dynamic actions. The ornamentation is visually pleasing. Overall, I recommend it.
