Quite interesting. Not too big and slim, but with plenty of power and a strong lock, as this manufacturer has accustomed us to. A good choice for an everyday EDC knife made from top materials.

Cold Steel Frenzy II CPM 3V Folding Knife - Blackout
Created by American knifemaker Andrew Demko, the design draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese Kabutowari weapon. Engineered for everyday carry (EDC), the knife features a blade with a Wharncliffe profile. Crafted from CPM-3V powder steel for exceptional wear resistance, the blade boasts a finish achieved through the Blackwash method. The black handle utilizes G10 laminate for durability and grip. Equipped with the Tri-Ad Lock for user safety, the knife offers convenient opening through a double-sided thumb stud.
CPM-3V Powder Steel
Forged from CPM-3V powder steel, the blade, while not classified as stainless, offers impressive corrosion resistance. Thanks to expert heat treatment, it attains a hardness of 58-61 HRC, delivering an optimal combination of strength, resilience, and sharpening convenience.
Satin-finished Drop-Point Blade
Equipped with a Wharncliffe profile, the blade measures 88.9 mm in length and 3.3 mm in thickness, and features a plain cutting edge for optimal performance. The Blackwash finish creates an uneven coat that minimizes unwanted glare and conceals marks from use. The profile ensures excellent piercing capability while delivering superior cutting efficiency.
Ergonomic G10 Laminate Handle, Steel Clip
Handles are crafted from G10 laminate, composed of layers of glass fiber held together with epoxy resin. This composite delivers outstanding durability, resistance to moisture, and minimal weight. Ergonomically contoured scales feature non-slip profiling, providing a secure hold even in wet conditions or when gloves are worn. At the handle's end, a hole accommodates the attachment of a lanyard or safety cord.
A tip-up steel clip is mounted on the knife, with the option to position it on either side of the handle, catering to both right- and left-handed users.
Tri-Ad Lock, Double-Sided Stud
Featuring the renowned Tri-Ad Lock, this knife boasts one of the most robust and dependable locking mechanisms found in folding knives. The stop pin efficiently absorbs the forces exerted on the blade, channeling them directly into the handle, which significantly reduces stress on the locking mechanism and limits component wear. The innovative design also self-adjusts for normal part wear, providing exceptional durability and maintaining high confidence in the lock’s safety over time.
Deployment of the blade is made easy with a double-sided stud, offering equally smooth operation for both left- and right-handed individuals.

The knife fits into the trend of creating lightweight folders. Despite its very large size, you don't really feel it in your pocket. Excellent clip, better than in most Cold Steel models. Springy and with a wide fin, it holds firmly but attaches effortlessly. Even though the handle is not reinforced with steel liners, the blade doesn't move sideways at all (no so-called blade play), even if you loosen the screw quite a bit. On one hand, it looks a bit intimidating, but on the other, it has something of the aesthetics of a utility knife, so it doesn't provoke negative reactions in your surroundings. I truly recommend it to anyone who wants to carry a really large blade every day.

Beautiful knife, surprisingly light for its size thanks to its pure G10 scales. The G10 of the scales is very delicate to the touch compared to other knives from this brand (which have a more aggressive texture). The blade is relatively thick/wide and the grind is short, which makes the blade more durable, but not as good at cutting materials as knives with a taller/longer grind. When folded, the knife is long for a folder but also very slim/thin. If you're used to carrying folders with 4-inch blades in your pocket and have no problem with their size, you won't notice this one either—neither when walking nor sitting.

It arrived today :) This is a beast! Beautiful piece :)) I’m not a knife fan—when I was a kid I had a Finnish knife and then a Swiss army knife and that’s it. I just put on a second band-aid for cuts trying to close it with one hand… that thing on the blade is not really for opening… I saw maybe 15 reviews of this beauty on YouTube and no one explained how to really open it... it’s made to be opened with a flick, there’s something Japanese about it and it’s suitable for everyday use, sort of like a samurai katana :) This knife is strictly for self-defense—and that's what I bought it for, in case someone attacked me in the woods for no reason… It’s made for fighting and not worth dulling the blade on anything else... There’s a thumb groove in the handle, you put your thumb there and flick it in any direction, up or sideways—slash! It opens faster than any OTF... No video showed this, they just clumsily tried to open it with that thing on the handle... You can get, for example, an SOCP 391BK 391 and that’ll be fine too, but if you like walking in camo and rolling in the mud... this one is simply elegant + mega light for its size... And the handle—long, just right to smoothly toss the knife from hand to hand and always catch it... try that with those small and sharp ones! :) Fantastically thought-out work of art in my opinion, no weak points... It closes with two hands unless you’re willing to sacrifice your index finger to practice closing it with one hand... super sharp... Without hesitation I’d buy it again :) Customer service very good.

Great knife, quite large.

Outstanding knife. Reliable with beautiful styling.

First of all, it's not as big as it appears in the photo, a really nice and slim knife, but it still has its size, a bit long, but the craftsmanship and the fun of owning it is just mastery.
