A hatchet designed in the style of the traditional Hudson Bay axe, once crafted for the historic Hudson Bay Company, which dates back to the 17th century. Featuring a flat cap and a spine that meets the straight handle at a right angle, this tool is characterized by a well-proportioned shaft length that allows for easy portability. With outstanding balance, it excels at both splitting and trimming wood for campfires, as well as for refined and detailed tasks.
The axe head is forged from 1055 carbon steel, and finished with a black protective coating to resist corrosion. Heat treatment grants the steel superior impact resistance and excellent edge retention.
