The spine remains blunt for its complete length, while a broad fuller ensures optimal weight distribution. With a point of balance at 177 mm from the cross guard, the One Edge Viking Sword is engineered primarily for cutting efficiency.
A short, double-sided cross guard, typical of early medieval designs, offers reliable hand protection against slipping onto the blade. A steel pommel, enhanced with copper wire and modeled after type H from Petersen’s typology, functions as a counterweight for superior balance. The tang features wooden scales secured with a slim leather wrap, delivering a secure grip during use.
