Cold Steel Pro Lite Sport Knife - Black

A folding knife crafted for everyday carry (EDC), designed by American knifemaker Andrew Demko. The drop-point blade is constructed from German 4116 stainless steel, renowned for its excellent resistance to corrosion. Featuring a plain edge, the blade boasts a stonewash finish. The handle is made from black glass fiber-reinforced nylon and is textured for a secure grip. A thumb stud allows quick deployment, while the Tri-Ad Lock system ensures reliable and safe operation.

stainless steel 4116

Forged from German stainless steel 4116, the blade delivers outstanding resistance to corrosion, ensures effortless sharpening, and maintains its edge for prolonged use.

Drop-point blade with stonewash finish

Equipped with a Drop-Point blade profile, the knife boasts a length of 89 mm and a thickness of 3 mm. A smooth cutting edge benefits from a hollow grind, delivering effective slicing capabilities. The Stonewash finish provides the blade with an uneven texture that skillfully masks scratches from regular use.

FRN composite handle, steel clip

Constructed from glass fiber-reinforced nylon, the handle features an ergonomic design complemented by a non-slip texture, delivering an exceptionally secure hold. Enhanced tool control is provided by the finger choil, offering reliable handling even when hands are wet or dirty. The front section of the handle incorporates a compact, single-sided cross guard, effectively minimizing the risk of accidental hand slippage onto the blade. For improved blade maneuverability during use, jimping is integrated at the rear of the handle, serving as a solid thumb ramp for added control.

Effortless everyday carry is provided by a spring steel clip affixed to the handle, enabling secure attachment of the knife to a belt or pocket edge. Suitable for both right and left-handed individuals, the clip is reversible for versatile mounting options. A hole at the handle’s end facilitates the attachment of a lanyard.

thumb stud, Tri-Ad Lock

Equipped with a thumb stud on the blade, this knife allows for comfortable and secure one-handed deployment. The innovative Tri-Ad Lock keeps the blade firmly in the open position, offering an enhanced version of the Back-Lock mechanism with superior resistance to dynamic stress. Among folding knives, it remains one of the strongest and most reliable locking systems available. The lock mechanism also ensures the knife stays securely closed, preventing accidental opening.

1.4116 feature
1.4116
1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) is a high-quality stainless steel from the DIN group, widely used in the production of kitchen knives and medical tools. The carbon content (0.45-0.55%) ensures good hardness and edge durability, while chromium (14-15%) guarantees high resistance to corrosion and oxidation. The steel also contains molybdenum (up to 0.6%), vanadium (up to 0.2%), manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), and a small amount of nickel (up to 1%). It achieves a hardness of 55-57 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, which allows for knives with good cutting properties, easy maintenance, and corrosion resistance.
Tri-Ad Lock feature
Tri-Ad Lock
Tri-Ad Lock is a lock developed by Cold Steel and Andrew Demko, considered one of the strongest systems in folding knives. Its key element is a stop pin, which takes the pressure from the blade and distributes it to the handle, protecting the lock from wear and overload. The mechanism is designed to self-adjust over time, which maintains the reliability of the lock even after prolonged use. In tests, it has proven resistant to loads of up to hundreds of pounds, confirming its durability.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
FRN - Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon feature
FRN - Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon
FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) is a glass fiber reinforced nylon often used in knife handles. It is produced by injection molding, which results in a lightweight, durable construction that is resistant to moisture, chemicals, and mechanical damage. The surface of FRN can be textured, which improves grip in various conditions. Thanks to its combination of lightness, durability, and ease of production, FRN is a popular choice for EDC and utility knives.

Nice, pleasant, not too heavy, not too big, discreet. At first I wasn't convinced by it, but once I took it in my hand, it felt like it belonged there. The handle is perfectly shaped. It's supposedly budget steel, but as someone wisely said, better cheap steel in your pocket than an expensive blade on display. I recommend it.

Very comfortable and well-made knife. Especially at this price. The handle is nicely shaped and fits well in the hand. The sheath is well-fitted and holds the knife securely.

Very nice knife at a good price. Sharp right from purchase, it doesn't dull as quickly as many more expensive or cheaper ones. A plus is the interchangeable grip in coyote and black colors. A nice sheath is included.

A nice knife at a very reasonable price. It fits well in the hand, has a good weight, and doesn’t dull as quickly as many others I’ve owned before. Plus, points for the interchangeable handle covers and sheath included in the set.

Solid construction and additional mounting elements are the main advantages of this knife. It feels excellent in hand, has a "natural" heaviness, and doesn't feel like a cheap market knockoff.

Practical, universal knife, very handy and comfortable to hold. Another advantage is the brown second handle. For attaching to a vest, I recommend using straps, as the knife holder keeps them securely. Excellent workmanship, affordable price, plus an extra handle and free, very precise engraving. The sheath can be bothersome and would be best suited for MOLLE vests, etc., but for a belt it was just average for me. That doesn't mean someone else won't like it. Highly recommended.

I am pleasantly surprised. The knife fits nicely in the hand. Right after purchase, it was tested outdoors. The blade is factory sharp, it can easily chop wood, and processing birch bark is no problem. It works well with a firestarter. Both the blade and the edge of that notch in the upper part work fine. The quality to price ratio is great.

A specifically good, practical, universal knife, very handy and comfortable to hold. Another advantage is the second brown handle. For attachment to a vest, I recommend using straps, as the knife sheath holds them securely. It is a good quality knife and has the properties described. I can confidently recommend it to you as well.

A great and solid knife, perfect for outdoor trips or field service. The sturdy fixed blade allows you to use the knife as an axe without any damage. The sheath is also solidly made and compatible with the MOLLE system, allowing you to mount the knife in various ways to your gear, preferably to a hard equipment element, because sometimes the securing clips for mounting can come undone. I honestly recommend it.

Great budget knife, excellently made, fits perfectly in the hand. The sheath is very well made and there's also a belt clip included. If someone doesn't want to spend a lot of money, it's a great choice.

A knife worth recommending, it has a secure grip in hand. It's cool that the set comes with a clip that can be attached to the knife sheath, which can then be fastened to a belt.

This is the second Takumitak in my collection and I think it won't be the last. Militaria.pl occasionally runs promotions on these knives, so I take advantage of that and become the owner of these interesting designs. I don't buy them for use, but as collectible knives, and that was also the case with this piece - I got the Fit for about 85 PLN and I'm very happy with it. It's a solid knife with quite an aggressive appearance. The advantage is not only the look but also the included sheath - it holds the knife very well and is multi-positional. Of course, I tested mounting it on various trouser belts and it performed quite well. It can be carried concealed under a T-shirt or outside a shirt despite its considerable size, but these were just tests. I don't intend to use it, though. It will stay on the shelf among other interesting knives.
