Cold Steel Razor Tek 4" 4116 Krupp Fixed Blade Knife

A lightweight EDC knife with a fixed blade featuring a full-tang construction, meaning the blade tang extends all the way through the handle. The Clip-Point blade is made of 4116 Krupp stainless steel and has been satin-finished. The satin finish minimizes most of the fine scratches that may occur during use. The black handle is made of durable GFN composite.

4116 Krupp steel

The blade is made of German 4116 Krupp stainless steel. This steel is easy to sharpen even in field conditions and retains its edge for a long time. The blade features a full, flat grind and is finished with a satin finish, during which the blade is partially matted. The satin finish minimizes most of the fine scratches that may occur during use of the knife.

Clip-Point blade profile

The Clip-Pont blade is 102 mm long and 3.2 mm thick. To prevent your hand from sliding down onto the blade, the lower part of the handle is contoured with a large cutout for the index finger, and the upper part features a textured surface for the thumb.

GFN composite handle

The ergonomically shaped handle features scales crafted from robust GFN composite (nylon reinforced with fiberglass) and is finished with an anti-slip texture for enhanced grip. A lanyard hole at the end offers secure attachment to minimize the risk of losing the tool.

Secure-Ex system sheath

The set comes equipped with a Secure-Ex system sheath, featuring multiple slots and holes for versatile mounting options on a belt or gear.

Secure-Ex feature
Secure-Ex
Secure-Ex is a system developed by Cold Steel, designed for the safe storage and convenient carrying of knives and tools. Sheaths made with this technology are lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant, making them suitable even for intensive use. They hold the knife securely in the sheath while allowing for quick and smooth draw. The system has a modular design - the sheaths can be supplemented with various fasteners, such as buckles, clips (e.g., C-Clip) or ball chains. This allows the knife to be worn on a belt, around the neck, or in other configurations, according to the user's preferences.
4116 Krupp feature
4116 Krupp
4116 Krupp is the trade name for high-quality stainless steel from the German DIN 1.4116 group, produced by ThyssenKrupp. It is used in kitchen knives and medical instruments. The carbon content (0.45-0.55%) ensures good hardness and edge durability, while chromium (14-15%) guarantees high resistance to corrosion and oxidation. The steel also contains molybdenum (up to 0.6%), vanadium (up to 0.2%), manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), and a small amount of nickel (up to 1%). It achieves a hardness of 55-57 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, which allows for knives with good cutting properties, easy maintenance, and corrosion resistance.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
GFN - Glass Filled Nylon feature
GFN - Glass Filled Nylon

GFN (Glass Filled Nylon) is a nylon reinforced with glass fiber, offering low weight, high durability, and resistance to moisture and many chemicals. The material performs exceptionally well in demanding conditions, maintaining its strength even under intensive use. GFN surfaces may be completely smooth or textured to improve grip, providing better control and overall ergonomics. The robustness of GFN handles has made this material a standard in the production of EDC (Everyday Carry) knives as well as lightweight tactical designs.

A solid knife for the outdoors. Stainless steel, but resistant to abuse, does not chip and is easy to sharpen. Comfortable handle, overall pretty well balanced. I recommend it.

One of the better knives available on the market. Simple and reliable. Very well made, only the sheath could be a bit better; this one is not bad but at this price, they could have made it out of kydex.
