The knife is decent and really nice, but the sheath dulls the blade a lot. After just two withdrawals the knife is noticeably duller, so it’s necessary to file the inside of the sheath, and then it’s fine.
Cold Steel SRK CPM 3V Satin Tactical Fixed Blade Knife
A fixed-blade knife designed for survival, tactical, and rescue applications. The Clip-Point blade features a flat grind and a satin finish. The blade is made of high-carbon CPM 3V steel, which offers good toughness and high abrasion resistance. The black handle is made of Kray-Ex polymer. The set includes a Secure-Ex sheath with holes and eyelets for multi-position attachment to a belt or other gear.
CPM 3V high-carbon steel
The blade is made of CPM 3V high-carbon steel, which offers good toughness and high abrasion resistance. It is not stainless steel, but it exhibits good corrosion resistance with basic maintenance. After heat treatment, it achieves a hardness of 58–61 HRC, combining strength, durability, and ease of sharpening.
Clip-Point profile blade
The Clip-Point blade is 152 mm long and 5 mm thick. The smooth cutting edge features a flat grind, and the surface is finished using a satin finish, which leaves an even, linear pattern after processing, reduces glare on the blade’s surface, and helps conceal minor scuffs that occur during use.
Kray-Ex handle
The handle is made of Kray-Ex polymer. Its ergonomic shape and non-slip texture make it easier to control the knife, even with wet or dirty hands. There is a hole at the back of the handle for threading a safety cord.
Secure-Ex sheath
The sheath is made using the Secure-Ex system from weather-resistant plastic. The sheath holds the knife securely in place thanks to its custom-fit opening and snap-fastening loop, which reduces the risk of the knife accidentally falling out. The loop makes it easy to attach to a belt, and numerous holes and grommets allow for multi-position mounting to other pieces of gear as well.

Very pleasant little knife. It can handle even the toughest camp tasks. You can chop and baton with it without worries. I highly recommend it to everyone.
-
I love the look of this knife as well as its sharpness, this steel is truly exceptional.
-
Moderate disappointment. That's how I would describe my opinion about this knife. From new, the cutting edge had a minor nick. OK. I'll fix it on the triangle. The false edge is basically sharpened to a fine point. It didn't bother me until I used it to strike sparks from a ferro rod. One pass on the ferro rod, which is really soft. The false edge got a small flaw. I take a magnifying glass, look, and am shocked. The edge melted/burnt with loss. I'm going back to 1095 carbon steel.

A knife worth paying a bit more for. The quality is really great, and of course that specific alloy of several hardnesses does the job. One of my favorite utility knives. I recommend it 100%.

I ordered, processed as always perfectly. I recommend it to everyone who is considering it.

It's hard to find a cheaper knife with 3V at this price. Everything is fine.
-
Steel at this price is really a bargain. However, I have concerns because with the SK5, the handle got loose for me. The quality is really good. Despite my concerns, I recommend it.
-
Very good quality, fits securely in the hand.
-
I can honestly recommend! Equipment for years, very good quality steel, the handle provides a strong and secure grip. For a long time I was looking for a universal knife for long trips, one that would be handy but also comfortable for heavier tasks. SKR is perfect.
-
I recommend it, really solid equipment. I hesitated for a long time before buying it, but it was worth it.
-
Very good workmanship, I recommend it.
-
Great survival knife for this price.
-
Unbreakable if you treat it like a knife and not like a crowbar. Batoning, heavier camp work, food preparation—it does what it should. Feels great in the hand. The steel holds an edge and doesn't chip. Sharpened on good stones or a sharpener, it shaves hair and cuts like crazy. One of my favorites. The sheath is very good and solid. The handle holds very well. Nothing has loosened in over half a year.

Beautifully crafted blade and the San Mai laminate adds class.
